Millions of 3-year-old phones get replaced every single year because they feel "slow." And the hardware inside them is barely the problem. Not the processor. Not the RAM. Not the age of the phone. Not the brand, and not the fact that a newer model just launched. Last month I almost spent $1,100 on a new phone. Mine had started taking forever to open the camera, the keyboard stuttered when I typed, and switching between apps felt like wading through mud. I was convinced it was dying. Then a friend dragged me to see a repair technician who has handled over 3,000 phones in 12 years, mostly for friends, family, and small businesses who walk in saying the exact same sentence: "It just got slow for no reason." He took my phone, spent about 4 minutes on it, and handed it back feeling like new. Then he said something I haven't stopped thinking about: "Nobody's phone is actually slow at 3 years. What's slow is everything that's been quietly piling up underneath it since the day you bought it. Background apps, stuffed storage, a tired battery, years of clutter. None of it shows on the screen, so you blame the phone and the phone company happily lets you." He then walked me through the exact 7 things he checks, in order, every single time. None of them cost money. Most take under 2 minutes. Several of them made me feel genuinely ridiculous for how close I came to buying a new phone. Here's the full breakdown 🧵

The American carrier way of buying an iPhone 18 Pro is a complete financial scam. 🇪🇺 Buying Unlocked in Europe: • The iPhone 18 Pro launches • It retails for around €1,500 • You save up the cash • You walk into the store and pay upfront • The phone is 100% yours from the very first minute End of story. 🇺🇸 Meanwhile, the US Carrier "Upgrade" System 👇

Sometimes a simple product image is all you have to start with. I used one as the reference for a secret-agent cookie ad in CapCut PC, then built the story around a mission to retrieve the product. My workflow is here: tinyurl.com/2v23rn22 #capcutpc #capcutmarketing

BREAKING: France "wiped" Microsoft off 2.5M government PCs, says the viral post. It didn't. It announced a plan. The real story matters more if you build workflows on AI tools. Here's what happened and what to copy:

Every AI tool you use has amnesia and you’re paying for it. You spent 45 minutes explaining your project to ChatGPT. Your preferences. Your coding standards. Your design decisions. Your team structure. Your goals. Then you switched to Claude. It knew nothing. You explained everything again. Then you opened Cursor to write code. It knew nothing. You explained everything again. Then you used Codex. Nothing. Again. Four AI tools. Four separate conversations. Four times you repeated the same context. Zero memory shared between any of them. ChatGPT remembers what you told ChatGPT. Claude remembers what you told Claude. Cursor remembers what you told Cursor. None of them remember what you told the others. You’re not just wasting time. You’re wasting tokens. Every re-explanation costs money through API calls. Every repeated context burns through your subscription limits. Every fresh conversation starts from zero even though the information already exists in another tool. ChatAndBuild just launched Living Brain a single persistent memory that works across ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Codex, and any AI agent you connect. Write once. Remember everywhere. Here’s what it does, why it matters, and why the future of AI isn’t about which model is smartest it’s about which one remembers 🧵

Over 6 billion smartphones are in use worldwide. Almost every owner treats the battery the same way: plug it in overnight, panic at 15%, and buy a new phone the moment it starts dying around the 2-year mark. A battery engineer who's worked on lithium-ion packs for a decade told me: "Your phone isn't dying because it's old. It's dying because of how you charge it. Charging to 100% every night, running it down to 0%, and leaving it hot in your pocket or car are the three habits that quietly eat away at a battery's lifespan. The hardware is built to last years longer than most people ever get from it. Most of the settings that fix this are buried a few menus deep, and manufacturers don't exactly advertise them, because a worn-out battery is one of the biggest reasons people upgrade." I tested every one of these on my own phone. Here are 7 settings and habits that can add years to yours 🧵

10 SIMPLE RULES FOR NAMING YOUR CV LIKE A PROFESSIONAL: Include your first and last name. Example: Mark Gockelen_CV.pdf Add the position you're applying for. Example: Mark Gockelen_Marketing_Manager_CV.pdf Avoid unnecessary words. No "final", "latest", "good" or "now_yes". Don't include version numbers. CV_v5_final_2.pdf doesn't look organised. Don't include the name of the tool. Canva and Word are tools, not your professional identity. Keep the file name short. Recruiters need to identify your document quickly. Customise it for every application. Make sure the job title matches the position you're applying for. Check the file before sending. Make sure it contains the correct CV and opens properly. Keep a consistent naming format. Use the same professional structure for all your applications. Think about the recruiter. Make it easy for them to find, open and review your application. Remember: Small details can make a big difference. Your CV deserves a professional first impression.

APPLE HAS ALREADY SOLD TENS OF MILLIONS OF AIRTAGS. My friend Rafa bought three two years ago. He put one on his keychain, one in his suitcase, and one in his wallet. And never thought about it again. Last month, he lost his wallet at the airport. He opened the Find My app and just stared at the screen, not really knowing how it worked. A guy next to him, who had worked as a technician at an Apple Store, looked over and said: “Dude, you're only using about 20% of that thing.” In the next 15 minutes, he showed Rafa all the settings he'd never touched. Rafa found his wallet in less than a minute. 9 AirTag features and settings almost no one knows about, in the exact order he showed them:

A Tesla service technician has worked on [1,500+] cars in [5] years, from Model 3s with 30,000 miles on the clock to Model Ys that were barely two years old, from daily commuters to rideshare drivers putting 100,000 miles a year on their cars. He said the same thing happens in almost every service bay. The owner walks in nervous, expecting a huge repair bill. They've read horror stories online. They think the battery is dying or the screen is failing. But the real problem is almost always a small habit they've repeated for years without knowing it was costing them. "Teslas don't have oil changes, so people assume there's no maintenance at all. That's the mistake. The car is low maintenance, not no maintenance. Most of the repair bills I see were avoidable with five minutes of attention a month. The owners who spend the least are not the lucky ones. They're the ones who pay attention." He said most people treat their Tesla like an appliance. They drive it, plug it in, and ignore it until something breaks. They never read the manual, never check the tires, and never look at the service menu. "You bought one of the most advanced cars on the road and maintain it like a toaster. That's like buying a $1,500 laptop and never installing an update or backing up a single file." Here are the 8 mistakes he sees most often, and what he tells every owner to do instead 🧵

The difference between QUITTING A TOXIC JOB and MAKING THEM FIRE YOU that HR hides: QUITTING A TOXIC JOB - You walk out with $0 severance. - You lose your right to unemployment checks. - Your health insurance gets cut off at midnight. - You save your boss $25,000 in payroll. MAKING THEM FIRE YOU - You get paid full wages to job hunt on the clock. - You collect $2,000 to $3,500/mo in state unemployment. - You force HR to document every fake complaint. - You walk out with a severance check and paid COBRA.

What does it take to bring a pixel character to life? I created this pixel animation demo with Hy4 in WorkBuddy, starting with a character image and exploring how it could be turned into an interactive experience. Compared with Hy4 preview, Hy4 introduces visual understanding, combining image interpretation with reasoning and tool use to tackle visual tasks. Hy4 keeps its pricing unchanged at $0.834 per million input tokens, $2.501 per million output tokens and $0.042 per million tokens on cache hits. The challenge was to preserve the character’s colors and design while creating idle, walking, and jumping animations—with directional controls and buttons to switch between actions. Here’s how it turned out. What kind of pixel character would you bring to life? Discover WorkBuddy: workbuddy.ai/ @TencentHunyuan @TencentAI_News @WorkBuddy_AI
