Il aura fallu une lettre de Giorgia Meloni pour rappeler à Bruxelles une vérité particulièrement humiliante : à force de vouloir diriger le monde, l’Union européenne a oublié d’apprendre à se diriger elle-même.
Dans un courrier adressé à António Costa, la Première ministre italienne dénonce la cacophonie diplomatique européenne sur l’Ukraine. Entre réunions à Miami, conciliabules à Oslo, initiatives franco-allemandes et conversations avec Moscou, chacun joue sa petite partition pendant que l’orchestre cherche désespérément son chef.
Résultat : vingt-sept États, une armée de fonctionnaires, des sommets à répétition et toujours personne capable de dire qui parle au nom de l’Europe. Une véritable prouesse institutionnelle : avoir construit une bureaucratie gigantesque pour accoucher d’une diplomatie miniature.
Le plus grotesque reste cette obsession bruxelloise de réclamer une place à la table des négociations. Une place pour quoi faire ? Pour réciter les communiqués rédigés depuis quatre ans ? Pour expliquer à Washington et Moscou qu’aucune paix n’est acceptable tant qu’elle ne correspond pas aux exigences d’une Commission incapable de les imposer ?
Car voilà le chef-d’œuvre de cette diplomatie suicidaire : Ursula von der Leyen et Kaja Kallas ont tellement transformé leurs positions sur la Russie en professions de foi qu'elles ont considérablement réduit leur propre marge de négociation.
Kallas, théoriquement chargée d’incarner la diplomatie européenne, ressemble désormais à une ministre des Affaires étrangères dont la principale compétence consiste à expliquer pourquoi elle ne peut discuter avec l'adversaire. Une innovation remarquable dans l’histoire diplomatique : rendre sa propre fonction pratiquement inutilisable.
Quant à von der Leyen, elle excelle dans l’art de distribuer les milliards, d’annoncer les sanctions et de promettre une victoire dont elle ne maîtrise ni les moyens ni les conditions.
Et pendant ce temps, Washington prépare des discussions avec Moscou et Kiev à Abou Dhabi. L’Europe, elle, prépare probablement une réunion pour déterminer qui participera à la réunion chargée de choisir son représentant.
Meloni vient surtout de mettre le doigt sur une contradiction fondamentale : l’Union européenne finance massivement une guerre dont elle risque de ne pas peser sur le règlement politique.
Et contrairement aux illusions bruxelloises, signer des chèques ne donne pas automatiquement le droit de dicter les conditions de la paix.
Le problème n’est donc pas seulement de trouver un négociateur. C’est de définir une politique crédible, des objectifs réalisables et un mandat commun. Trois exigences qui semblent constituer, à Bruxelles, une insurmontable révolution intellectuelle.
L’Europe voulait devenir une puissance géopolitique. Elle risque de finir comme le service comptable d’une paix négociée par les autres.
Avec, naturellement, une conférence de presse pour présenter cette humiliation comme une victoire historique.

I had an opportunity to spend a week in the U.S., and I made a few observations.
We often hear Canadians proudly say, “We’re not like Americans.” But I’m curious about what we mean by that, and why we assume it is something to congratulate ourselves about.
The first thing I noticed was pride in their country. American flags everywhere! A sense that loving your country does not depend on who happens to be in power.
In Canada, we have seen the flag treated as controversial one moment and encouraged the next. Apparently, we need to check the political mood before deciding whether we can proudly fly our own flag. If we need permission to show pride in our country, what else have we learned to ask permission for?
So if pride in their country is one of the things that makes Americans different, that’s something I would welcome more of here.
I also noticed more personal autonomy and confidence. People seemed comfortable making their own decisions and standing behind their beliefs. Political disagreements? Plenty. But nobody I spoke with seemed to need permission to have an opinion.
When did walking on eggshells become a Canadian virtue? If Americans are more comfortable speaking their minds, why would we pride ourselves on being different?
There also seemed to be less expectation that government should have an answer for everything. People help themselves, help their neighbours and take responsibility for what comes next, without assuming government will step in and sort it all out.
Is that really something we want to distance ourselves from? Independence and personal responsibility sound good to me.
Taken all together, what I noticed was less fear. More willingness to try something, take a chance and live with some uncertainty. A confidence that you can figure things out as you go, even when you have to.
Are these qualities we should distance ourselves from?
I want Canadians to be informed, prepared and confident in their own judgment. Ask questions. Understand the risks. Take chances. Succeed. Fail. Learn and grow.
But for goodness’ sake, LIVE. We cannot let fear make every decision for us and expect government to fix everything.
So tell me: why is it so important to keep announcing that “we’re not like Americans”? What exactly are we congratulating ourselves on?
Give me something more than “we’re nicer.” When people are smeared, labelled and pushed out for expressing different views about this country, can we really say that with a straight face?
Besides, I met some pretty nice people down there too.

For years, I have been reporting on imams pimping women for temporary sex in Sweden. Now the same thing is happening in America, and Texas just gave imams official marriage power.
We do not understand this enemy taking over America.

Police called it pimping and human trafficking.
Vulnerable women were used, then discarded. Men cheated on their real wives under a "religious" cover. This same so-called "religious" cover is what is conquering our nation!
I have been screaming about this for years: imams acting as "religious" pimps, temporary sex contracts dressed up as marriage, the same pattern imported from Islamic countries and defended with Islamic scripture.

Now the exact same mindset is being discussed openly in the United States.

The defense some men give? “I got her consent and two witnesses - what’s the problem?”
Hide it from your first wife and family. Check the "religious" boxes. Deception is fine.
One scholar compared it to doing Hajj with stolen money: legally “valid” on paper, still wrong and sinful.
This is temporary prostitution and concealed extra wives sold as "religious" marriage. Men get to cheat. Women get used.

While this is happening, Texas is expanding imams’ official power.
HB 1044 explicitly added “Muslim imam” to the list of people authorized to conduct marriage ceremonies under state law.
We are handing more legal recognition and authority to the same institutions while parallel Islamic practices - temporary sex contracts and hidden second wives - are being normalized inside these mini Islamic states or what the media calls their "religious" communities.
This is the same pattern I have reported on for years across Europe. Parallel Islamic systems are imported, then defended with "religious" language.
One set of rules for the public, another behind closed doors where women lose and the imam gets paid.
Politicians on both sides stay silent because they want the vote.
Democrats chase the bloc. Republicans get sold the “shared values” line while ignoring classical rulings on polygyny, temporary contracts, and all other related matters.
Do we understand yet that America is not immune?
Islamic communities are already doing it. The institutions are discussing it. Texas is formalizing more authority for the facilitators.
I’ve been sounding the alarm on this exact setup for years and years...

Remember the 200+ Canadian doctors who died suddenly after taking COVID-19 Vaccines?

I saved one of those Pfizer ads.
