TK Medlock

Code by Charles Petzold. Read this in my first year in Uni. It rewired how I think about technology entirely. The part that stayed with me is how Petzold opens with two kids communicating across windows using a flashlight and morse code. Something so simple. So human. Then he traces that same logic all the way to how modern computers process everything we do today. The book makes you realise that at the core of every device, every app, every screen you are staring at right now, it is still just two states. On and off. Light and dark. The same principle two children used across a window. Communication has always been the foundation. We just kept building on top of it until it became the world we live in now.
