Having seen your colourised N&D images Mike. I had to give it a go with my own N&D postcards out of curiosity. I like how the last photo of the Matlock Bath lads turned out. @DTerritorials

Oxford Street pedestrianised yesterday and, inevitably, 24 hours later, huge queues at the ferry port on the Isle of Wight. Thanks a lot, Sadiq.

The way to minimise uncertainty for UK business is to join the EU. Everything else means a constant flux of negotiation without the full economic benefits of membership.

"I miss buses, taxis and traffic." We're plumbing new depths of boomer nostalgiaslop. Shut the fuck up mate.
So sad what they’ve done to Oxford Street. Its red buses, black taxi cabs and other traffic were a key part of what gave it such a buzz. I remember the excitement of Oxford Street in the late 70s when my Dad would take me to see the Christmas lights. The magic of London is being destroyed.

Wages have increased at a similar pace to inflation. Why do people hate themselves?
The minimum wage has become a con. A cloak and dagger tax on businesses. Untalented, unskilled idiots will soon be "entitled" to the same wages as senior, well experienced staff because the top end has stagnated to accommodate the bottom.

50 years of privatisation = a FAR BIGGER STATE with WAY MORE BUREAUCRACY bc privatisation introduces competition and therefore commercial secrecy and legal disputes + more state admin is needed to try to coordinate fragmented state contracts handed to the private sector

"It is bonkers that income from wealth is taxed at a lower rate than income from work." Great to hear Ellie Chowns call out CGT for what it is, a ridiculous unfair give away to the country's richest. We need reform now.
