Utterly chilling. Make no mistake there will be people within the Labour NEC arguing that Andy Burnham should suspend and/or expel Sheffield Labour Councillors for daring to continue working with Sheffield Greens for the betterment of Sheffield
New: Defra Secretary Angela Eagle says "what happens in Sheffield will be a matter for both the party chair and the NEC to decide. "I hope the Labour group in Sheffield will bear that in mind as they make that decision" Negotiations are continuing locally in the council

World politics is being shaped in part in order to protect this!
A group of Israeli settlers have seized eight Palestinian homes on Wednesday in Jericho, located in the occupied West Bank.  Palestinian sources reported that the settlers, accompanied by their families, stormed the eight homes, which were empty at the time of the raid

There is a reason the United States has never seriously investigated its own networks of child exploitation at the institutional level. Not for lack of evidence. Not for lack of testimony. Not for lack of cases that pointed upward, toward power, toward money, toward the kinds of names that appear on donor lists and invitation lists and the passenger manifests of private aircraft. The reason is structural. The institutions that would conduct the investigation are staffed by people who depend on those networks for funding, for access, for the informal systems of favor and protection that constitute real power in Washington. You cannot ask a system to investigate itself when the investigation would reveal that the system is the crime. So instead you get task forces. You get awareness campaigns. You get congressional hearings where survivors testify and legislators perform outrage and nothing structurally changes. And then you get a war. And the war gets the coverage. And the names stay where they are.

Was Jimmy Savile innocent because victims didn't report him year ago? A unanimous jury found him guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Dismissing rape victims like this with your audience is vile and reckless.
Russell Brand is not a rapist Not a single woman went to the police but instead 100’s of women were contacted by and likely coached journalists Channel 4 spent four years with over a dozen employees on this This was peak of the Trump Hatred and Russell was labelled as a Nazi

there's an interview going around of John Mearsheimer with a German who says some incredibly depraved things about Palestinians, and I was fascinated by its conclusion, where she admits she's afraid of being critical of Israel because Zionists destroy people's lives for that:

The Kafkaesque UK laws adopted under the Starmer gov to appease Israel are such that you'll get arrested for terrorism if you hold a sign saying I support Palestine Action. But if you hold a sign saying "I suppport Genocide. I oppose Palestine Action," then you'll be fine...

Sir David Bell’s decision to treat antisemitism as a “distinct form of racism” in schools – separate from other racisms and requiring special safeguarding procedures to protect Jewish pupils – is exactly the approach fiercely rejected in an earlier inquiry, one also set up by Keir Starmer. Martin Forde KC was appointed in early 2020 to investigate claims of an antisemitism problem under Jeremy Corbyn, Starmer’s predecessor. Much to Starmer’s annoyance, Forde’s report, published in 2022, found that Corbyn had been largely correct that antisemitism was weaponised during his tenure as leader for factional gain, chiefly by the right of the party that Starmer had come to head. Forde also criticised the rightwing Labour bureaucracy, which had opposed Corbyn, for “in effect operating a hierarchy of racism”, privileging antisemitism while ignoring or downplaying other forms of racism. Further, he berated staff for using antisemitism for political point-scoring against the left instead of taking a serious approach to tackling antisemitism. With the help of the media, Starmer has succeeded in largely wiping Forde’s report from the record. It is almost never referenced. With the Bell review, we seem to be back to square one: the weaponisation of antisemitism to create a hierarchy of racism is being extended from politics to schools. Hidden in the report’s later pages, Bell actually notes that there has been no rise in antisemitism, observing of recent years: “Anti-Jewish attitudes are typically less prevalent and have remained more stable.” Perhaps not suprisingly, in parallel Bell points out that opposition to Israel has steadily risen during the period that the world watched Israel murdering, maiming and starving Gaza’s children. Or as the report observes: “Anti-Israel sentiments are more prevalent and have been increasing.” Bell himself points to a survey conducted in 2025 – at the height of the Gaza genocide – in which a quarter of all Britons and half of those aged between 18 and 24 said they were uncomfortable “spending time with people who openly support Israel”. By contrast, only 3 per cent said they were opposed to having a friendship with someone because they were Jewish. In other words, Bell implicitly accepts the very premise of his review is flawed: antisemitism is not more of a problem than it was. It is opposition to Israel’s atrocities that is on the rise. And that, it seems, is what the Bell review and the government’s new “antisemitism” policy towards schools is really seeking to stifle: criticism of Israel. This is an extract from my latest article A new UK hierarchy of racism will gag Israel critics from Westminster to the playground. Find a link to the rest in the reply post below ⬇️

This poor little soul has already suffered enough on the streets of Gaza.💔🐾 Today🙏✨, we took her to the vet and learned that her leg joint is dislocated. She needs surgery to put it back in place. The vet prescribed medication to reduce the inflammation before we can schedule her operation. We rescued her from the roadside, but her fight isn’t over. Please, dear friends🫂🤍, stand with us until she can walk without pain again.🐾🥹❤️ 🙏 PayPal: paypal.me/umaimamohamed ❤️ GoFundMe: gofund.me/75c42982 #Gaza #AnimalRescue #CatRescue #SaveAnimals
Today, in my sorrowful city of Gaza, I found this poor cat beside the road. Her front leg was badly injured, and she couldn’t walk on it.💔🐈 I rescued her and brought her to our shelter, where she’s now safe, but her suffering isn’t over.🥹❤️ Tomorrow morning, we’ll take her to the vet for an urgent X-ray to assess her injury and begin treatment.🐾🏥🙏 My dear loyal friends🤍, we’ve brought her to safety.
