The libertarian leaving my body every time I encounter libertarians on Twitter
Oh no a smell I don't like! Time to use the violence of the state. You were never a libertarian.

Support for political violence is highest among people who self-identify as “very” left wing.
New findings on Americans' support for political violence. --Around 1 in 3 younger adults (GenZ and Millennials) expressed support for political violence. --Support for political violence was highest among those identifying as politically “very liberal.” --Americans with the highest level of educational attainment (graduate or professional degree) were about twice as likely to support political violence than those with less formal education. --Liberal GenZ women were more supportive of political violence than were GenX and Baby Boomer men. (see figures below) These data come from the American Political Perspectives Survey (APPS) collected from August 3, 2025, to September 26, 2025, with 3,000 American adults who speak English. All respondents needed to pass (1) attention checks, (2) a duplication check, (3) time-to-completion checks, (4) fraud and (5) bot-identification checks. Teacher's unions are harder to fight when they're not froth-mouthed ideologues. Anyway, here's a BCTF publication that told teachers to use outdoor education as a tool to smash "cis-heteronormative assumptions" in kindergartners. nationalpost.com/opinion/fir…
The BC teachers union president issued this statement today 🥴 "I recognize that with the outcome of a Conservative government, many of us may be feeling disappointed, scared, or deeply concerned about what might come next. I know these results may be particularly concerning for Indigenous, racialized, and 2SLGBTQIA+ members. You are not alone."

I don't necessarily love rotting bodies, but there's a texture to a rotting body that is unbelievable. Have you ever seen a little rotted animal? I love looking at those things, just as much as I like to look at a close-up of some tree bark, or a small bug, or a cup of coffee, or a piece of pie. You get in close and the textures are wonderful. -David Lynch A little over a year ago my work partner and I were approached by a wealthy man. He wanted to make a movie about his parents. It was about how founded the family biz. It was a nice story. They met, fell in love, and got rich. And that was it. There was no conflict, no adversity that the characters had to overcome. So we start asking: Did anyone have a health issue? Like a cancer scare? Did another businessman try to steal their idea? And no, there was nothing. No drama. They lived a happy life and that was that. And since he wanted to be faithful to the real life story he wouldn't consider spicing up the script with fictional drama. We essentially told him that while he has a nice story he doesn't have a movie. It needed something else--drama--to be compelling. Because nobody is going to watch the movie unless it's compelling. Again, he was a wealthy guy. And wealthy guys don't like to be told they're wrong. At the very least, it's not something that happens every day. Barely keeping his composure he launches into a long diatribe about the need for conservative movies, and family, and positivity, and good old fashioned American values. I wanted to say that so-called Conservatives couldn't even conserve women's restrooms. But I didn't. Instead I politely declined to help and wished him the best of luck. I see a lot of the same shit posted on here, about the need for *our guys* to make movies because "values". This stuff will fail because the "conservative" nature doesn't like to acknowledge the darker side of existence. They tend to shy away from suffering and lust and evil and all the things that make stories interesting. It's just in their nature. They gutter is an uncomfortable place and they don't like going there. Now Christian content does quite well--but there's a lot to draw from in the bible. There's some dark shit in the bible. These are very human stories, and the bible is full of betrayal, cruelty, lust, and just plain old human stupidity. I think this is the reason for the bible's staying power. My advice to "our guys" who want to make movies, or anyone who wants to fund these projects: become comfortable with the gutter. Become familiar with the darker side of human nature--and the darker side of yourself. And make sure you embrace the insanity. This is where drama comes from. This is where great stories come from. It's also a fun place. Make sure you enjoy yourself.

Bye, Twitter. 🥺 The tipping point was having to pay for verification, when we feel we add a lot of value. We also feel solidarity with NPR, and share concerns about Twitter’s direction. You can find us on the blog and TikTok. If we join another platform, we’ll send word here. 🫡

"Points-based system" but it's just handing out permanent residency to thousands of low-scoring African French speakers
⚠️ Canada invites 𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟭 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 as PR: 80% of them are Outside Canada 🌍 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲, 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱? The worst part is that no politician will question this unvetted immigration one since it’s about Canada’s national language. ISP brought Temporary Residents from India 🇮🇳 , French will bring Permanent Residents from Africa 🇿🇦.

The emphasis on francophone immigration has created its own problems. They must live outside Quebec (this also applies to Express Entry), but unless they know English well enough, their chances of success are between slim to nonexistent. Case in point 👇

My uncle did a mission trip to Africa to teach a village how to raise pigs for food. They flew in with a bunch of pigs, built pens for them, Food and water troughs, and taught them how to breed them so they could always have meat. Two weeks of work and teaching. They went back a year later to check on the village. They had thrown a giant party the night after my uncle left, slaughtered and ate all the pigs, sold the feeders and fencing, and were really pissed off that the mission didn't bring them more pigs.

Typical lolbertarian story arc: 1. Be weird looking 2. Make a lot of noise and zero sense 3. Refuse to listen to reason 4. Have no real plan 5. Accomplish nothing you said you would do 6. Refuse to be embarrassed about it

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" is a famous quote from the New Testament, recorded in Luke 23:34. Also applies to the nutters who voted in a majority conservative government in the BC election.

Replying to @erichhartmann
In one video we have the implicit racial paternalism that makes her performative woke empathy possible, the consequent counter-racism & entitlement she enables, and the total breakdown of social trust & order that everyone has to endure as a result of it. It's like a work of art.

The RCMP’s Tactical Training Section works year-round to keep frontline members ready for the challenges they may face on duty. For approximately six months each year, instructors deliver mandatory firearms recertification training.

Thank you for illustrating the pointless nature of white guilt
Dear white people, just because you give to charity to ease your guilt doesn't change the fact that your ancestors killed, enslaved, and tortured Black people. You can't donate your way out of history.
