@TalkTalk Trying to get through to you is a total nightmare. Broadband has been down for days. The phone number sent just refers us to a bot, which doesn't help. How can I speak to a human?

Unsurprisingly, no response from @talktalk who are making it very difficult even to cancel our account.

@TalkTalk I have submitted a complaint to Ofcom about your non-existent customer service and switched provider for which you are charging over £60 despite not fulfilling your duty of customer care

Hounded to death. bit.ly/4gi0f5T I hope everyone including many of my fellow journalists who joined the pile-on of Jason Arday is thoroughly ashamed and penitent but I doubt it. What a tragedy.

I've just spoken to @BellRibeiroAddy . The media have been outside the Arday family’s home; have they not done enough? They are also publishing the family address. This has to stop immediately. The @metpoliceuk are also aware of this.

Jason Arday has tragically died after a vicious campaign of press hounding and harassment. We urgently need an inquiry into the culture of the press. Add your name to demand one now: hackedoff.org/campaign-actio…

The fact that it is so hard to hold the press to account in the UK for truly awful behaviour that has no public interest merit - even to get them to say a simple 'sorry, we won't do it again' in our case - shows how systemic this issue is. This needs to change.

A debunking of the latest article on 'state regulation' of the press, which is not at all what @hackinginquiry are calling for. Are journalists really signing their names up to this? - hackedoff.org/blog-posts/pan…

@SF_England we are in a Kafka-esque situation where the computer tells my partner to fill in his finance details, but then when he tries it says we already have your details [from my other daughter]. You ring SLC & they can't override the computer. So we're stuck.

You need human oversight of your processes in case of glitches like this. I haven't got all day to resolve what is really a simple problem. You have the finance details. Put a human on the job.

📣CAMPAIGN UPDATE! BREAKING! PM Keir Starmer has today agreed to meet & discuss action on press standards with victims of press abuses. He must really hear victims (not just listen and nod) and bring forward legislation to protect the public. tr.ee/VugYc7 Victims have waited long enough - it's time for action. We need #LevesonNow

Having been through the IPSO 'process' when the Mail posted a voyeuristic video of my daughter's last moments, I can totally vouch for the fact that it is a sham. It made me feel even more distressed - because it didn't do its job - than I already was. Shame on everyone involved.
Britain's press is misleading the public, intruding into peoples' lives, and abusing ordinary people. In opposition Labour promised to act. Tell @Keir_Starmer : yes, standing up to Murdoch is hard, but it's the right thing to do. Write to your MP now: tinyurl.com/mv6r9pds
