Good for her. Hope she only sold percentages. Catalog worth too much.
Mary J. Blige just made a deal with Primary Wave for the catalog behind Family Affair. In 2017 she told a Los Angeles court she was earning about $326,930 a month and owed the IRS about $6.5 million. In the video below she says she owed "so much money" she never thought she'd get out of debt. "Millions, millions, like hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes," she says. She is out of debt now. The unpaid years ran from 2008 to 2016. The IRS had already filed a $3.4 million lien in 2013, and $2.2 million of it was for 2010 alone. Her husband at the time, Kendu Isaacs, was also her manager. "When I was married, I was like, pay my taxes," she says. "They didn't listen to me." Then she adds, "He was in control of everything." Her own 2016 filing said they had "over spent." Now she treats payroll, taxes and tithes as "not my money" and pays them before she sees any of it. I'd copy that rule, because tax money left sitting in your account starts to feel like yours. So who let Mary J. Blige's tax bill reach $6.5 million, the husband she says controlled everything, or the star who spent the money? I post one star like this every day, on camera and in their own words, about where the money went and who walked away with it.

Truth
Men aren't intimidated by intelligent women. They're exhausted by women who turn everything into a power struggle and call it standards. Being smart is attractive. Being impossible to deal with is not.

Camron found out his publishing has been making money he’s never seen. Due to a possible BMI mistake. Plus part of his writers ✍️ credit stolen. Allegedly. Check it out.
Camron says someone in Australia named Camron Giles has been receiving his BMI publishing checks then says he shockingly found out Un Rivera credited himself as a writer on his album after looking into it 😳 (Via @TalkwithFlee/@revolttv)

Symba apologizes to J. Cole for taking shots at him after he backed out of the beef with Drake & Kendrick Lamar, admitting that he only did so in the heat of the moment: "When bro backed out, I was just hurt as a fan, and I did some immature, impulsive sh*t, went in the studio, rapped about it, put it out there. But it wasn't like I was trying to diminish that man's legacy." "What I said could've been aggressive and I apologize for that, but I think Jermaine Cole is an amazing artist." (Via F4RUM)

John Wall says he still texts his mother every morning and night and has continued to pay her phone bill to keep her number active since she passed away in 2019 “I made sure I paid the bill for that for the rest of the time I’m going to be on this earth, so I can send my daily text in the morning and my daily text at night” “It helps me. I know she can’t respond, but I can still send my messages and know that nobody else has her number. And sometimes you have your moments when you just sitting at home and you just reflect” “And I always look at pictures and reflect. My display screen on my phone is my first game against the Sixers, and we win the game and I give her a hug, and I always keep that as my bio picture”

I’m told they’ll work with the Roc nation sports division over seas.. As they represent a lot of soccer players and plan to create opportunity for Nevada by doing all of the above. For Background — Nevadas family has openly discussed moving to Spain previously because this is where he can really immerse himself into the sport. Story developing … 🙏🏾🖤 #browngirlgrinding

A guy in Newport Beach makes $380,000 a year and his daughter goes to USC on a low-income financial aid grant He didn't lie on a single form He just used Chase and Amex to legally make himself look broke the year before she applied Most high earners get slaughtered by college tuition because they don't understand how universities calculate whether you're "rich" When your kid applies for financial aid, the government formula looks at two things: your Adjusted Gross Income from your tax return two years earlier, and how much cash is sitting in your personal bank accounts on the day you submit the form If you have $380,000 of business profit on your tax return and $180,000 sitting in a personal savings account, USC expects you to write a $92,000 check out of pocket every year This guy's CPA had him run three legal plays in December of his daughter's sophomore year of high school: 1st: Instead of leaving $180,000 sitting in his personal checking account where the financial aid formula penalizes it, he used that cash to pay down the mortgage on his primary house (the federal FAFSA formula ignores home equity on the house you live in) 2nd: He took his 750 credit score and opened $220,000 in 0% APR business credit cards under his LLC's tax ID across Chase, Amex, US Bank, and Wells Fargo 3rd: Before December 31st, he swiped all $220,000 of the bank's 0% money on two heavy commercial work vans (over 6,000 lbs so Section 179 writes off 100% of them on day one), prepaid vendor contracts, and a full year of equipment Under IRS rules, business expenses paid with a credit card are 100% deductible the day you swipe the card, even though you don't owe the bank a dime of interest for 15 months Those 0% card swipes legally dropped his taxable Adjusted Gross Income from $380,000 down to $43,500 during the exact base year the university checked When the financial aid office pulled his file, they saw a family making $43,500 with $1,900 in personal checking and $0 in personal credit card debt (because EIN business cards only report to commercial bureaus) His daughter got $68,000 a year in need-based grants, which is $272,000 of free tuition over 4 years, and his business cash flow paid the 0% cards off ten months later (if you have a 700+ credit score and want my team to sequence and unlock your 150k-250k 0% funding stack under an EIN, book a call using the link in my bio)
