I would love someone to explain why silently and unwillingly removing your clothes in front of men who demand it, is an act of “compassion”.
How is it not humiliation and degradation?
How is “be kind” and “compassion” in this example not coercion?

Porn star Jessie Rogers was 18 when a director forced brooms and bananas inside her for hours until she was swollen shut and crying on camera - then told her she wouldn't get paid if she stopped. A male performer raped her off set. Another beat her head against the floor until she bled, choked her unconscious twice, and locked her in a bathroom. She contracted herpes on set. Over 10 urgent care visits. When she told her agent she'd been raped, he stared at her blankly and said: "So, did you guys have fun?"
She found the ad on Craigslist when she was 17. An agent called and said it straight - it's porn. She was booked for her first shoot the day after her 18th birthday. A Penthouse spread. Her first few scenes were awkward but fine. She thought she could handle it.
The solo shoot on the East Coast was where it started. The director made her insert objects - brooms, bananas, whatever was around - for hours. Her body swelled. She was in real pain, sobbing on camera, begging to stop. He said: we won't pay you if you stop now. She kept going.
Back in LA, her agent kept booking her even when she was sick. She trusted one male performer enough to see him outside of work. The last time they were together, he raped her. She says it herself: "The way we had sex the last time I saw him - it wasn't consensual."
She went to her agent and told him what happened. He stared at her with a completely blank face. Then he said: "So, did you guys have fun?"
That was the day she quit. Years later she stood in front of the California State Assembly and testified for a bill requiring condoms on porn sets. She told legislators what no one in the industry wanted them to hear.
She walked into porn at 18 through a Craigslist ad. By the time she walked out, she'd been raped, beaten, infected, and ignored - and the man responsible for her career asked if she had fun.
Does the porn industry protect its performers, or does it just replace the ones it breaks?

The "female brain" theory really is a treat for those of us who have spent any time at all observing the men who make this claim.
"I have a lady brain, which is why I love video games, engineering work, dungeons and dragons, cosplaying, large-breasted anime girls, your mom jokes, porn, objectifying women, and why stealing my mother's clothing gives me an erection."

In evidence, Jayne Ozanne who appears to believe that her own internal battles with her faith could have been sorted with legislation, was clear that she wants prayer criminalised, including any help sought by the individual in question.
She records a counsellor telling her that she would just have to change her religion if she felt her sexuality was incompatible. But she didn't want that.
Ozanne once told the Guardian that “gentle, non-coercive prayer” should be outlawed. She also wants to ban ‘praying alone’ - who the criminal is in this circumstance is not explained!
Ozanne has admitted she was not open about her sexuality and did not discuss it with her pastoral support group. Later she asked for supportive prayers from "kind and loving" people to ask that she find someone to settle down with and have a family. She claims that at this point she was confused about her sexuality and had boyfriends.
So what does she really want? Ozanne claims to remain an Evangelical Christian so she clearly wasn't kicked out. She wasn't held in a cult or subject to abuse, she simply asked others in a religion she claims she wishes to belong to, to pray for her to achieve happiness.
Freedom of religion is an important human right. The state has a duty to ensure that harm, terror, or abuse is not carried out in the name of faith, but it has no business interfering in anyone's inner life.
The Church of England is right to be concerned.
The Church of England has warned that Labour’s proposed trans law risks criminalising prayer and pastoral support.

The government is tendering for an organisation to run its Conversion Practice Victim Support Service.
£180,000 for two years.
It has spent £471,232 on this helpline over the past 5 years and released no data about how many times the phone rang.
If anyone can download the tender documents I would appreciate it.
