Week recap (Oct 26–30): The Mon–Wed gains came on light volume, and Thu–Fri erased them on heavy volume after the Alphabet, Amazon and Intel reports.
All five symbols closed in the bottom 16–23% of their weekly range.
$SPX −0.71%, $SPY −0.56%, $QQQ −1.97%, ES −0.76%, NQ −2.17%.
$QQQ and NQ are the weak spots, down 6.7% and 7.1% in October.
$SPX is about 3.6% above its 200-day, while QQQ is only about 1.8% above its own.
Weekend:
Iran says it could reopen the Strait of Hormuz within two days if its conditions are met, but Trump hints at strikes after the election. WTI closed at $104, so tonight's 6 PM futures open carries gap risk.
About an 80–85% chance of a December Fed hike is priced.
Bitcoin is near $78K.
Week ahead:
Mon: ISM Manufacturing 10:00, then Apple and Palantir after the close.
Tue: election day, with JOLTS at 10:00 and AMD after the close.
Wed: ADP, Treasury refunding and ISM Services.
Fri: the jobs report at 8:30.
Bias: bearish below SPX 7638.7, SPY 761.46 and QQQ 698.63.
Friday's lows are 7527, 750.36 and 683.45.
A bounce into the overhead levels is the tactical risk.
Cut size into Apple, election night and Friday's jobs report.

Robert and I are thrilled that our gift of over 2 million shares of SpaceX stock will be distributed to children’s Trump accounts in December!
Our initial gift (shares transferring to escrow as we speak) will go to 11 to 17-year-olds who live in zip codes with median family income (MFI) of $57,000 or less, and to those who live in zip codes with too few residents for an MFI to be reported in the census. These families should receive a notice by Monday.
In a few weeks, an additional gift will be finalized for eligible 11 to 17-year-old children in military families serving overseas, children in foster care, and more children whose MFI is $90,000 or less living in counties near our home in the great state of Texas.

Toronto Police officers stopped on Bloor Street to help an elderly man change his tire. Not required — they simply chose to help.
We highlight misconduct when it happens, but good police work deserves recognition too. These officers should be proud.
