A reminder that the Liberal Party's top voices sound like MAGA Republicans when talking about the NDP

Liberals freak out when @christoaivalis correctly calls Mark Carney MAGA
The reality is that Carney is much better at getting the MAGA agenda passed than Trump
-Canadian DOGE
-Oil, gas, AI
-Deregulating pesticides
-Handouts to AI and corporations
-Abandoning climate targets
Another MAGA policy from Mark Carney

The Liberal government approved the sale of Stelco to a US steel company. Now, their CEO says he only bought it to undermine Canadian steel production.
The Liberals need to do more than send a strongly worded letter.
Canada must nationalize Stelco.

The solution is to pay a living wage, not exploitation of foreign workers.
Prime Minister Mark Carney is facing growing pressure from business groups to allow more immigration to address Canada’s labor needs, but the prospect of welcoming more migrants carries political risk for him bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Went from electing the most left-wing city council in North America in Vancouver to one of the most conservative provincial govts in the country.
Gonna be a hard fight for Van City Council the next four years to actually enact their agenda with such a regressive provincial govt.

In an interview, Crombie, the former Liberal leader, conceded that the red label “perhaps... wasn’t a good fit.”
“I think the Liberal brand… I wasn’t comfortable wearing,” she said. “My policies were very conservative, frankly, and yet I was running as a Liberal.”
All this talk about being the 51st state.. I got a better idea! Hey Alaska wanna be Canadians?

This coming from a Mayor who voted to cut bus service and raise transit fares. And his plan is to be financed by the upload of the LRT to the Province, based on an agreement yet to be negotiated. This is skin to counting chickens before they are hatched. #OCTranspo
If re-elected, I’ll purchase 200 more buses and hire 250 new drivers and mechanics. See my plan: marksutcliffe2026.ca/priorit…

They’re closing the plant, 360 jobs are being lost and almost half of the manufacturing jobs in the region
Over 400 employees at one of Canada’s last commercial printing facilities have been called into an ‘all hands meeting’

Avi Lewis on nationalizing Stelco: "The goal of the tariff war is to de-industrialize Canada. Trump has been clear about that, to destroy our manufacturing industries and other industries. And we have to step up and resist. we need to save the industry, and this is the way to do it."

I love to see the NDP back in the groove of calling for nationalization of key industries
Canada cannot afford to lose its steel industry. It's time to nationalize Stelco.
Stelco’s American owners have broken their commitments. Their CEO supports Trump’s tariffs, which are designed to deindustrialize our economy and destroy our manufacturing base.
More than 500 workers in Hamilton are facing layoffs.
If we’re serious about saving these jobs and the Canadian steel industry, Canada must nationalize Stelco.

$1.5B each from the province and the feds to make it a crown corporation? I'm down.
