Hooks. Lots of writers think that you only have one hook per novel. This isn't true. Each chapter should have a hook so that you are constantly affirming to the reader their desire to read on. Think of a chapter as if it were a complete story. #writingcommunity

Readers 'skim' what they think is not important. What is important to the writer may not be important to the reader. This is a hard lesson. Sections you labor over may be skimmed by readers. Identify your own skimming habits and highlight these in a book to review later.

[1/2] We’ll never stop shining for you. Starting tonight through the COVID-19 battle, our signature white lights will be replaced by the heartbeat of America with a white and red siren in the mast for heroic emergency workers on the front line of the fight.

A family member passed away this morning from this virus. People, PLEASE stay inside. And if you must go outside, WASH your hands and keep them away from your face. If you have shortness of breath, fever, and a dry cough, call your doctor and DEMAND to be tested. #Covid_19
This virus isn’t a hoax. It’s real and it’s devastating families across the globe...including mine. Please pray, y’all!

How are you doing? You coping well? Remember, this is an incredibly stressful time, probably unlike anything you've ever experienced. A lot of people are talking about all the writing they'll get done, but don't worry if you don't do anything. Take care of yourself.
