The “debate” over trans identity comes down to people saying “this is who I am” & assholes saying “No! You can’t be who you say you are. You can only be who *I* say you are.” The anti trans position is that simple and that indefensible. Trans women are women. Trans men are men.

Nope. It’s not harsh at all. If you ignore someone when they tell you who they are, and instead try to tell them who they must be, you are by definition an asshole.
