May 22, 2011, started like any other Sunday in Joplin, Missouri: church services, family lunches, a high school graduation. But by late afternoon, the atmosphere transformed into a deadly force. Meteorologist Alex Wilson gives us a firsthand look at the devastation along the tornado’s path:

15 years ago today, an EF5 tornado left the city of Joplin, Missouri, in ruins. The twister tore through heavily populated neighborhoods and commercial sections, causing destruction beyond anything seen in modern times. Meteorologist @MikeBettes looks back at the disaster:
