A personal update regarding @salvium_io $SAL
I previously supported and promoted Salvium because I genuinely believed in the project and its potential.
However, based on information I have recently received regarding a second security incident and the way information surrounding it was communicated, I have lost confidence in the team’s transparency and communication.
I want to be clear: this is my personal decision and opinion, and I encourage everyone to conduct their own research and reach their own conclusions.
I will no longer promote Salvium and will remove my previous promotional posts. I believe I owe my followers transparency, especially after previously supporting the project publicly.
I’m stepping away from the project.

🥕 SALVIUM — WHAT DO CARROT AND SPARC ACTUALLY BRING TO THE TABLE?
Imagine a simple transaction:
💰 Anna sends 100 SAL to Bob.
On a typical blockchain, you can trace:
➡️ who sent it
➡️ who received it
➡️ how much was sent.
With Salvium, things work very differently.
🔐 CARROT introduces a new approach to privacy and address management. It is designed to enable features such as full view-only wallets, improved key management, forward secrecy, and stronger protection against transaction analysis.
So an outside observer should not simply see:
❌ “Anna → Bob = 100 SAL”
Instead, they see cryptographic data that should make it difficult to determine the actual recipient and amount.
🦌 And then there is SPARC.
Imagine Bob wants to send those 100 SAL back to Anna.
The problem with private cryptocurrencies is simple:
How can Bob send the refund without having to know Anna's public address?
This is where SPARC comes in.
Anna can include encrypted return information in the transaction.
To an outside observer, it looks like random data.
Bob can use that information to make the return payment:
Anna → 100 SAL → Bob
Bob → 100 SAL → Anna 🔄
…without needing to learn Anna's public address.
SPARC is also designed to allow proof of control over an address without revealing the private key. This could be particularly interesting for exchanges and AML/compliance requirements.
🔥 And this is where things get really interesting.
Monero focuses primarily on:

Salvium aims to go further:

🏦 potential compatibility with exchanges and regulated markets

So the idea isn't simply:
“Let's hide the transaction.”

That is one of the most interesting aspects of Salvium.
⚠️ Of course, CARROT/SPARC are technologies, not a guarantee of the project's success. Actual implementation, security, adoption and real-world usage will ultimately matter most.
Salvium isn't trying to be just another privacy coin. It's aiming to combine PRIVACY + COMPLIANCE + DEFI. 🥕🦌

🚧ERC20 Bridge Progress Update
Development of the Salvium ERC20 bridge continues to advance.
☑️Deposit proofs are now in internal testing and have entered their final optimisation cycle.
☑️Withdrawal proofs have also entered internal testing, with optimisation work scheduled immediately after.
Once both proof systems have been fully tested and stabilised, we'll be deploying a testnet bridge of the complete mechanism.
As we prepare for the ERC20 testnet launch, we'll be rolling out a series of infrastructure and network updates over the coming weeks to help ensure a smoother and more reliable final deployment.

Following on from the spam attack (which was blocked by the recent HF), we have discovered that output indexing in the blockchain had been effectively broken by the spam TX outputs. This meant that all outputs created after the first spam output were effectively unspendable by the current wallet code.
1. Your coins are not "lost" or "stolen". Coins that were in your wallet REMAIN IN YOUR WALLET. It doesn't matter if they're coinbase (e.g. STAKE payouts, miner block rewards, etc) or RCT outputs - they're still there, but temporarily inaccessible. If you are having issues accessing your funds, or your balance appears incorrect, we fully expect it to be resolved by the release being made shortly.
2. Whilst the spam attack was a relatively sophisticated attempt to completely break the Salvium chain, we have been able to develop a fix that will return Salvium to normal operation. No rollbacks, no hacks.
3. We have also evolved our internal database structure in the daemon to better resist any future attempts at similar disruption. The spam attack cannot be repeated, and the fallout it caused cannot either.
Our sincere apologies for the disruption to the Salvium network. But at least Salvium has emerged stronger than ever before, thanks to the reprehensible actions of these individuals.
