Happy to share new publication:) - Pre-exercise hot water immersion increased circulatory heat shock proteins but did not alter muscle damage or endurance capacity. It may be a viable strategy for more vigorous exercise - worth exploring!

Sedentary behavior is detrimental to human health (on the molecular, cellular and systems level). Doing more is better than some, and doing some is better than none:) Time to move!

Pleased to share my newly published article (from my PhD work) examining the impact of heat on our human brain. Our brain motor activity and cognitive ability are impaired by heat. There could be a brain temperature range optimal for neural function! pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3767…
Help us learn about how tropical heat (especially with the blazing heat in SG!) impacts the physiology of Type II Diabetics during exercise. Feel free to share with anyone who may be keen to partake in this. Note: Looking for diabetic participants at this juncture:)

Great work to highlight the thermal strain of healthcare workers! We need to take care of the selfless frontline fighters
A study conducted by A/Prof @JasonKWLee and Dr Jimmy Lee found that a majority of #healthcare workers who have to wear PPE experience symptoms of thermal strain. #HeatStress
