United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby says the US should have a national wealth tax, & inheritance taxes approaching 100% for the wealthiest. Kirby said wealth inequality has become a danger to society, and that a wealth tax needs to be national because the rich would simply move to avoid state-level ones.

Founders from overlooked places tend to be capital efficient because there never was another option.

Caring is the moat, you should feel visceral pain when things are bad or broken and stop at nothing to fix them

Bye Quickbooks. The joy I am feeling is immense.
1/ Hiring your first employee is one of the biggest moments for a founder. But payroll, taxes, benefits, and compliance are far more complicated than they need to be. Now with AI we can make the pain of payroll go away. @Mercury Payroll* launches today!

The NFL will become the National Flag League. Literally. Younger crowds will watch a pro flag league as long as it’s 7v7, full field, and influencers push it. Us older dudes will hate it but Gen Gamma and Gen Delta will love it

AI phraseology is like nails on a chalkboard in my head. My frustration goes from 0 - 60 in about 2 seconds. Am i becoming the cranky old woman because my brain can't to rapid fire slop decoding? AITA?

You need to self promote 40% more than you feel comfortable with. We live in an attention economy. Stop leaving money on the table.

More than any time in my career, VCs seem to be underwriting other investors’ interest rather than the company itself.

United Airlines has just introduced an awesome new @Starlink Wi-Fi tracker that not only makes it easy to find out if your flight has Starlink, but also gives real-time Starlink installation progress for their fleet. United has now installed Starlink on 43% of its fleet, with 639 aircraft now equipped. It even breaks down what percent of flights from each hub have Starlink, as well as installation progress by aircraft type. Really cool! Tracker: starlinktracker.united.com/p…

If I invested in all of the companies that when referenced someone said “total dumpster fire, stay away” I would be 100x more successful. Hope that helps.

I've had $5k angels be way more valuable than lead investors, and I've also had leads be way more harmful than small investors
Founders, avoid $5k checks from angels like the plague

It turns out 18,000 people (often women) wanted to pay to fill every seat in an arena and cheer and scream together for other women multiple times a week!
The Golden State @valkyries have been breaking boundaries on and off the court since the franchise launched. The latest: the world's first women's sports team to generate $100 million in annual revenue. A run to the WNBA Finals could push # to $135M. 🏀💰🏀 sportico.com/leagues/basketb… via @sportico

I've found that investors have a hard time investing in highly complex businesses because they're hard to understand. The ironic thing is that hugely correlates with the potential for building a moat.

It’s wild that people twist anything. Kid is excited about how much ball he’s learning from Coach Marion. Seeing it differently and understanding it differently.
