Elif Eralp, the Berlin chief of the "Left Party", which just came in first in the Berlin elections with 25% of the vote, accidentally sent an email to the German magazine "Der Spiegel" in which she consulted with her advisors.
In that email, she admitted that she was "afraid" of Ibrahim Ibrahim and his supporters. Ibrahim is a notorious supporter of Hamas and the PFLP. He and his supporters had supported the Left Party and Ibrahim appeared at the Left Party victory party in Berlin.
Eralp said she and her husband had been advised by local law enforcement to avoid critical commentary about organized crime groups and radical pro-Palestine factions in Berlin. These groups are a key part of the pro-Left-Party faction in Berlin.
Nobody was supposed to see these comments, but Eralp or someone on her team accidentally sent them to a journalist.
ℹ️ Die Linke und der Terrorismus: Offenbarungseid aus Versehen
Vor zwei Stunden hat der Spiegel einen Artikel unter dem Titel „Elif Eralp offenbart Angst vor Terrorsympathisanten“ veröffentlicht.
Dieser Artikel offenbart nicht nur, dass die Bürgermeisterkandidatin Elif Eralp sehr genau um die Verbindungen Ihrer Partei zur PFLP/Hamas weiß. Er bestätigt nicht nur meine Recherchen von Ende September. Er zeigt, wie sehr Die Linke Berlin durch die Arbeitsgruppe Palästinasolidarität beeinflusst ist.
▶️ Die Geschichte hinter der Bezahlschranke geht so:
Elif Eralp gibt dem Spiegel am Montag ein Interview.
Das Interview wird niedergeschrieben und Eralp wieder vorgelegt.
Das ist übliche Praxis. Interviewpartner können so nochmal drüber schauen. Die Journalisten können sicher sein, dass der Interviewte keinen Rückzieher macht. („Das habe ich so nicht gesagt.“)
Das Interview wurde verschriftlicht an Eralps Pressesprecher gesendet und dort mindestens zwischen ihm, Eralp persönlich und der Landesvorsitzenden der Berliner Linken Kerstin Wolter herumgereicht. Dazu wurden Notizen im Text vorgenommen.
Und irgendwer hat diese Überarbeitung mit diesen Notizen fälschlicherweise an den Spiegel gesendet. Ein Versehen, dass es in sich hat.
Es ist eigentlich unredlich, so etwas zu veröffentlichen. Es gehört sich nicht. Doch der Spiegel hat abgewogen.
„In einer Stadt, in der die potenzielle nächste Landeschefin so etwas schreibt, und zwar nicht in ihr Tagebuch, sondern in ein Dokument, das sie mit den eigenen Leuten teilt, mit ihrem Sprecher, ihrer Landesvorsitzenden, kann von innerer Sicherheit nicht mehr ernsthaft die Rede sein. Deshalb hat sich der SPIEGEL entschieden, den Vorgang öffentlich zu machen.“
▶️ Eralp offenbarte in dem Interview, das Ausmaß des Problems sei ihr nicht bewusst gewesen. Mit dem Problem sind der Antisemitismus in den Reihen der Linken, die Causa um die Abgeordnete Vanessa Emde und „Grenzüberschreitungen“ gemeint.
„An dieser Stelle hakt der SPIEGEL nach: »Damit meinen Sie den Terrorsympathisanten Ibrahim Ibrahim, der den Chefplaner des Hamas-Überfalls auf Israel am 7. Oktober 2023 als ›Märtyrerhelden‹ bezeichnet hat und in Neukölln auf der Wahlparty war.«“
Der Spiegel gibt die ausführliche Antwort nicht wieder. Aber die Antwort lautete „Ja“.
▶️ In der redigierten Bearbeitung, die der Spiegel versehentlich bekommt, steht an dieser Antwort die Notiz „Es gibt ein PROBLEM“. Und weiter „[Name wird nicht genannt] möchte nicht, mein Mann, und ich auch nicht, konkrete Namen nennen, er hat Angst vor diesen Leuten und ich auch“.
▶️ Ihr Pressesprecher weist darauf hin, dass er Fragen der Journalisten nicht streichen dürfe. Eralp Antwortet „Was mache ich jetzt? Ich hätte dieses Interview niemals zusagen dürfen.“
Weiter steht in dem Austausch „Das LKA hat damals gesagt, sie empfehlen, nie konkrete Namen zu nennen. Damals ging es um OK. Jetzt geht’s um Leute mit Kontakten zur Hamas. Ich kann mich und meine Familie für den SPIEGEL nicht in Gefahr bringen. Was machen wir jetzt? Das ganze Interview stornieren?“ OK ist das übliche Kürzel für Organisierte Kriminalität.
Im Weiteren erklärt die Spiegel wer Ibrahim Ibrahim ist. Und bestätigt meine Recherchen: Der Chef einer Vorfeldorganisation der PFLP und Hamas.
Diese versehentlich weitergegebenen Notizen zeigen nicht nur, dass Eralp und die Führung der Die Linke sehr genau über Ibrahim, die Verbindungen zur Die Linke Neukölln und die Arbeitsgruppe Palästinasolidarität Bescheid wissen. Sondern dass sie sogar Angst vor diesen Verbindungen haben und das Thema nicht öffentlich aussprechen wollen.

Un error acaba de generar una crisis de seguridad impresionante. La revista Der Spiegel —un medio, cabe destacar, de marcada tendencia izquierdista— ha sacado a la luz un documento interno que prueba cómo Die Linke ha sido secuestrado por el islamismo.
Su candidata a gobernar Berlín, Elif Eralp, envió por accidente a la redacción las notas privadas de una entrevista donde confiesa estar coaccionada y aterrorizada por Hamás que opera dentro de su propio partido.
Resulta que luego de una entrevista, el equipo de la candidata revisó la transcripción. Durante este proceso, Eralp hizo comentarios internos que debían quedar en la más estricta confidencialidad. Sin embargo, el documento con las acotaciones sin borrar fue devuelto a los periodistas.
El contenido de esas notas es dinamita. Cuando Der Spiegel le preguntó por Ibrahim Ibrahim —un propalestino simpatizante de Hamás que celebró la masacre del 7 de octubre—, la respuesta pública iba a ser esquiva. Pero en el margen del documento filtrado, Eralp escribió la verdad: «Hay un PROBLEMA. [...] mi marido no, y yo tampoco, quiero nombrar nombres concretos, él tiene miedo de esta gente y yo también».
La filtración expone la cruda realidad del islamoizquierdismo en Alemania: Eralp llegó a comparar el nivel de amenaza de estos militantes pro-Palestina con el del Crimen Organizado e implora abortar la publicación: «No puedo poner en peligro a mí misma y a mi familia por Der SPIEGEL. ¿Qué hacemos ahora? ¿Anulamos toda la entrevista?».
El mayor chiste de toda esta situación, sin embargo, quedó plasmado en una de las frases que Eralp sí quería publicar. En un alarde de desconexión absoluta, la candidata afirma en la entrevista: «Lo que sí puedo decir con total claridad es que, como alcaldesa gobernante, velaré por la seguridad de todas las berlinesas y todos los berlineses». Una promesa que resulta irrisoria viniendo de una dirigente que, en el mismo documento, reconoce en secreto que ni siquiera puede proteger a su propia familia de las bases de su partido.
Luego del escándalo, Eralp ha anunciado que procederá legalmente contra Der Spiegel y presentará una queja formal ante el Consejo de Prensa por haber citado sus anotaciones internas. Esta maniobra judicial evidencia de inmediato lo susceptibles y completamente desbordados que están en realidad estos cuadros dirigentes frente a situaciones de crisis.
La izquierda radical berlinesa creyó que podía capitalizar electoralmente el extremismo islámico; hoy, los documentos demuestran que es el extremismo quien los tiene de rehenes.

Dan passeert dat gewoon. Terwijl zittende presidenten in Israel zelfs niet eens onschendbaar zijn! Je kan dus zelfs als zittende premier in oorlog gewoon veroordeeld worden. De asymmetrie in het politiek correcte debat is hemeltergend. Stel je dat eens voor eigenlijk. Een president die bewust 1000 burgers laat vermoorden. Zonder enig bewijs. Puur intentieproces. Hoe crazy zijn dit soort gedachten. Bij ons mainstream duiding.

De ene creëert welvaart, de andere leeft ervan en vindt dat de eerste nog niet genoeg afdraagt.

Israel’s elections, where Arab citizens vote equally alongside Jews and all other Israelis, demolish the simplistic, fraudulent “apartheid” narrative. So the goalposts move: Why can’t Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank vote in Israeli elections? Apartheid!
Suddenly, Palestinians don’t want sovereignty or statehood anymore. Recognition of Palestine by the UK, France and dozens of other countries? Irrelevant. Palestine’s UN status? Irrelevant. The Palestinian Authority, President Abbas, Palestinian elections? Scrap them all!
What Palestinians REALLY want, apparently, is to be Israelis, governed by Israeli law and voting in Israeli elections. Forget Palestinian self-determination! At least for today.
It’s always the same. Whichever argument serves the immediate need to condemn Israel wins the day, no matter how contradictory or intellectually bankrupt.

Ik ben het gewoon echt zat en ik vind dat iemand het moet zeggen. België is zijn eigen beurs langzaam aan het wurgen waarbij de recente meerwaardetaks onnodig veel schade heeft aangericht aan het Belgische financieringsklimaat en de financiering van lokale Belgische bedrijven. En er lijkt maar geen beterschap aan te komen.
De meerwaardetaks heeft de beurs nog onaantrekkelijker gemaakt voor kleine Belgische bedrijven
In grote beursgenoteerde bedrijven zoals AB InBev of Argenx zijn de handelsvolumes van Belgische particuliere beleggers quasi verwaarloosbaar. Daar speelt de impact van de meerwaardetaks vandaag amper een rol.
Maar het aandeel retailbeleggers die actief zijn bij typische lokale small- en microcaps is een heel ander verhaal. Bij de kleinste aandelen stijgen de handelsvolumes geregeld naar 30% tot meer dan 50% van het totaal. En sinds de meerwaardetaks is ingevoerd zie je plots veel sterkere neerwaartse bewegingen in dit soort aandelen nu particuliere beleggers lijken af te haken.
Voor wie het niet zou weten.
Institutionele beleggers beleggen niet tot amper in Belgische aandelen met een marktkapitalisatie onder de 150 à 250 miljoen euro. Die laat je links liggen wegens liquiditeitsrestricties (een positie opbouwen of afbouwen zonder marktimpact is vrijwel onmogelijk in dit soort aandelen) en omdat je als institutionele belegger snel wil kunnen verkopen. Daardoor zie je vaak grote familiale aandeelhouders in dit soort aandelen zitten voor de lange termijn. Deze verkopen amper tot nooit. En daarnaast heb je dan de particuliere belegger die veel mobieler is en vaker koopt en verkoopt.
Particuliere beleggers zijn daardoor via de beurs feitelijk de belangrijkste organische liquiditeitsverschaffer voor die kleinere small caps of micro caps. Zij handelen in dit soort aandelen naast de contractuele market makers. Die handel is al bij al beperkt in omvang bij kleine aandelen, maar op zijn minst is er handel waardoor we een Brusselse beurs kunnen hebben.
En wat hebben we gedaan?
We hebben particuliere beleggers het sinds dit jaar onnodig moeilijk gemaakt door ze een meerwaardetaks te geven die bovenop andere kapitaalbelastingen komt die er al waren. Niet alleen moet je tegenwoordig beginnen rekenen en teruggaan in de tijd om te weten welke belastingen je moet betalen, maar je moet ook nog eens historische wisselkoersen beginnen verrekenen en jezelf worstelen door een hele hoop extra administratie.
Het gevolg? Mensen willen minder handelen en de liquiditeit daalt. Niet verrassend haken daardoor particuliere beleggers mentaal af en handelen ze minder in dat soort bedrijven.
Wat begin ik te zien?
Dat precies die steunpilaar van de Brusselse small caps aan het wegvallen is. Het valt op hoe hard sommige Belgische smallcaps bij slecht nieuws worden afgestraft. De liquiditeit lijkt in bepaalde aandelen steeds verder op te drogen wat de bewegingen uitvergroot. Ik vrees dat de nieuwe meerwaardetaks die ontwikkeling heeft versterkt.
Veel Belgische small caps hebben er daarnaast dit jaar een verschrikkelijk beursjaar opzitten en hebben hun beurswaarde zien dalen tot microcapniveaus. Veel van die bedrijven herstellen daar nooit meer van want grote beleggers laten die bedrijven links liggen. Die grote partijen zijn vaak nodig voor een ommekeer. Uiteindelijk zie je de goede bedrijven dan opgekocht worden voor een prikje en de rommel richting 0 gaan.
En het is niet enkel de schuld van de meerwaardetaks
Dat zou immers een oneerlijke en luie analyse zijn. Sinds de invoering van de Europese MiFID II-regelgeving waarbij analistenresearch apart gefactureerd moet worden is de institutionele research coverage voor small caps al gemarginaliseerd. Toen werd het al moeilijker gemaakt voor particuliere beleggers om aan de juiste info te komen over dit soort bedrijven.
En toen moest de reeks aan fiscale ontmoediging nog beginnen. Toen ik begon bij de broker Bolero 12 jaar geleden is de roerende voorheffing in stappen opgetrokken van 15% naar 30% op dividenden. Toen kwam plots het gedrocht van een speculatietaks van 33% op beursgenoteerde aandelen die binnen de 6 maanden werden verkocht . Die werd al afgeschaft omdat de handelsvolumes met tientallen procenten kelderde op de Brusselse beurs.
Toen volgde in 2018 de effectentaks en dan nu de meerwaardetaks. En dan spreek ik nog niet over de taks op beursverrichtingen iedere keer dat je aandelen koopt.
Als we willen dat Belgische ondernemingen kunnen groeien, dan moeten we het voor Belgische burgers aantrekkelijk houden om in die ondernemingen te investeren. Anders moeten we niet verbaasd zijn als onze beste bedrijven uiteindelijk in buitenlandse handen terechtkomen en onze Brusselse beurs steeds verder verschrompelt.
België is het land dat letterlijk van zijn historisch beursgebouw een biermuseum heeft gemaakt. Laat ons alsjeblieft ook niet van onze Brusselse beurs een museum maken. Schaf die meerwaardetaks voor small caps gewoon af.

Les symptômes sont désormais bien documentés. Le journaliste arrive confiant, fiches en main, question piège bien préparée. Sarah Knafo répond. Le journaliste cligne des yeux. Il ouvre la bouche. Rien ne sort. Il regarde ses fiches. Les fiches ne l'aident pas. Il tente un « oui mais... », puis son regard se vide, comme un PC sous Windows 98 qui affiche l'écran bleu.
Monsieur le Président, ces journalistes, nous les avons financés. Avec nos impôts. Aides à la presse, subventions, redevance, des années d'école de journalisme. C'est un patrimoine national. On ne peut pas laisser ce patrimoine s'effondrer en direct sur un plateau à 8h47 du matin.
Je propose donc un plan d'urgence : un médecin urgentiste assis derrière chaque journaliste qui s'apprête à interviewer Sarah Knafo. Défibrillateur chargé, sucre rapide, couverture de survie, et une cellule psychologique en régie pour le débrief.
Et du coup, ça créera de l'emploi. Des milliers de postes non délocalisables. Le plein-emploi par la contradiction. Un projet à la fois social, sanitaire et économique. En même temps. C'est presque du macronisme.
J'ai même le nom : « France Réanimation 2030 ».
Agissez, Monsieur le Président. Avant qu'il ne soit trop tard. Avant la prochaine matinale.

Yezhov – The Butcher.
His old boss once said he had never met a more ideal worker: "Give him a task and you don't need to check on him – he'll get it done. He has only one shortcoming: he doesn't know when to stop."
Nikolai Yezhov was a small man, barely five feet tall, a former factory worker with little schooling who rose through the Party as a diligent, obedient bureaucrat. He was exactly the man the system needed.
A small and vicious man – in power, he drank heavily and liked to go down to the prisons to watch interrogations – sometimes joining the beatings himself. When his wife had an affair with the novelist Mikhail Sholokhov, Yezhov had their hotel room bugged and listened to the recordings. He watched his own bedroom just as he watched over the whole country.
His philosophy fit in one sentence: better that ten innocent people suffer than one spy escape. English law had said the opposite for centuries: better that ten guilty men go free than one innocent suffer. That one reversal is the whole difference between a civilization and a terror.
In 1936, Stalin put him at the head of the NKVD. The old boss who had praised him was shot in the terror that followed.
The West calls it the Great Purge. Russians remember it as the Yezhovshchina – "the Yezhov times." But it was not a frenzy. It was a plan.
An order of July 1937 gave every region a quota: so many to be shot – the "first category" – and so many to be sent to the camps – the "second category." Local chiefs competed to fulfill the plan and asked Moscow to raise their limits. Moscow usually agreed.
Torture was authorized from the top. Then came the national operations – Germans, Latvians, Finns, and above all Poles. Order 00485, signed by Yezhov, hunted an organization that did not exist. The verdicts came in albums, a few lines per person. In Moscow, two signatures sealed them – Yezhov's and the prosecutor Vyshinsky's – hundreds of death sentences at a sitting.
The wives of the condemned went to the camps. Their children went to orphanages.
Propaganda posters showed him crushing a many-headed snake in a spiked glove. His name means "hedgehog," and "hedgehog gloves" is the Russian idiom for an iron grip.
In two years, around seven hundred thousand people were shot.
Then the machine needed a culprit. In 1938, Beria arrived as his deputy, and by November Yezhov was out. In April 1939 he was arrested, tortured with the methods he had perfected, and made to confess to being a spy. At his secret trial, he asked that Stalin be told he would die with his name on his lips. He was shot in February 1940.
Then he was erased – from the photographs, from the records, from the story. The terror kept his name, Yezhovshchina, so that it would not carry the Master's.
His adopted daughter was sent to an orphanage, like the children of his victims.
The machine is never satisfied. It always needs the next name on the list – and, when the time comes, the name of the man who made the lists.

The Butchers – The Men Who Ran the Soviet Terror.
Moscow, a winter night in 1937. Long past midnight in the Kremlin, a man with a pipe sits at his desk under a lamp. In front of him, a stack of typed lists – names, one per line. He runs a blue pencil down the pages. A tick. A note in the margin. Sometimes a name crossed out, sometimes one added. The same pencil he uses to edit film scripts and poems.
His officials stay awake at home, next to the phone, in case he calls before dawn.
Hundreds of lists. Tens of thousands of names. On a single day, December 12, 1937, he and Molotov approved more than three thousand death sentences. Then, historians tell us, they went to watch a film.
But Stalin didn't invent the machine. He perfected it.
In August 1918, Lenin sent a telegram to his comrades: hang at least a hundred kulaks – hang them so that people see it for hundreds of kilometers around. Trotsky, the "good communist" of Western nostalgia, ordered the families of officers taken as hostages.
The founders gave the orders. Then the machine needed men – men who would build the apparatus, fill the camps, write the confessions and pull the triggers. And sooner or later, it devoured many of them.
1. Dzerzhinsky – the Founder. "Iron Felix," a Polish noble's son, who built the Cheka in 1917.
2. Trotsky – the Myth. The revolutionary Western intellectuals still romanticize, who wrote a whole book defending terror – until the machine he helped build killed him with an ice axe.
3. Stalin – the Editor. The man at the desk, with the blue pencil, long past midnight.
4. Yagoda – the Builder. The Gulag as an economy: canals dug by prisoners who died by the tens of thousands. Then shot by his own machine.
5. Vyshinsky – the Prosecutor. "Confession is the queen of evidence" – so he got confessions. "Shoot the mad dogs!" at the show trials, then the Soviet seat at the United Nations.
6. Yezhov – the Butcher. The Great Terror, the quotas, the Polish operation – then shot, and erased from the photographs.
7. Beria – the Strategist. Katyn, the atomic bomb, the deportations – and a predator. Shot by his own colleagues three months after Stalin's death.
8. Blokhin – the Executioner. In the spring of 1940, at Kalinin, he personally shot thousands of Polish prisoners over a few weeks, in a leather apron and cap.
9. Serov – the Hunter of Poland. He crushed the Home Army, lured the leaders of the Polish Underground State to "talks" and had them tried in Moscow. Then Hungary in 1956, and the first chairman of the KGB.
10. Andropov – the Modernizer. Dissidents sent to psychiatric hospitals instead of camps: softer, quieter – same goal: erasing people. The first secret police chief to rule the country.
11. Epilogue – The Chekists Never Left. From the KGB to the FSB to the Kremlin.
Why name them? Because their whole work was erasure – of people, of records, of memory. Remembering is the opposite of what they did.
And erasure didn't die with them. Today it rarely needs a bullet. It is called cancelling, deplatforming, debanking, lawfare. The inconvenient person isn't shot – he is removed: from his job, his bank account, his platform, the conversation. Yezhov needed a retoucher. Today a terms-of-service update does the job.
For Poles, these are not names from a history book. They are the names behind our grandparents' graves – and that is why we recognize their heirs.

De patronen:
1. Herkomst bepaalt het beeld, niet het land
Over alle 70 datapunten verklaart de herkomstgroep 59% van de verschillen (R² = 0,59). Het land, en daarmee de meetmethode, verklaart maar 23%. Wie zegt “dat komt door de manier van meten” verklaart dus het kleinste deel, het grootste deel is herkomst!
2. Overal dezelfde volgorde
In elk land met data zitten dezelfde groepen bovenaan. Meestal 2 tot 7x het autochtone niveau, in Finland bij Irakezen 9,5x.
3. Het is geen “migranten”-effect
Oost-Aziaten zitten overal rond of onder de baseline, EU-burgers rond 1 tot 1,9x, westerse migranten in Nederland precies 1,0x. Herkomst maakt het verschil, niet migratie als zodanig.
4. Meetmethode bepaalt de hoogte, niet de richting
Landen die op nationaliteit tellen (VK, Duitsland, Finland) komen hoger uit dan landen die op herkomst tellen (Denemarken, Nederland, Noorwegen). Wie naturaliseert verdwijnt uit de groep, wat overblijft zijn vooral recente aankomers. Maar ook met de strengste methode blijft de oververtegenwoordiging staan.
5. Inkomen en opleiding verklaren het niet weg
Zweden corrigeert ook voor inkomen en opleiding. Centraal-Azië (vooral Afghanen) zakt dan van 9,4x naar 5,6x. Kleiner, niet weg.
6. Hoe ernstiger het delict, hoe groter het verschil
Denemarken, Midden-Oosten en Noord-Afrika: 2,5x bij alle zedendelicten, 4,9x bij verkrachting. Afrika bezuiden de Sahara: 2,5x tegen 7,0x.
7. Waarom ontbreken Frankrijk, Italië en anderen w.o België? Niet weggelaten. Ze publiceren de cijfers niet zo dat je de vergelijking kunt maken.
Frankrijk: etnische statistiek wettelijk sterk beperkt, alleen Frans tegenover buitenlands. Buitenlanders zijn 13,5% van de verdachten van zedendelicten, bij circa 7% van de bevolking.
Italië: alleen Italiaans tegenover buitenlands. 42% van de verkrachtingsverdachten is buitenlander, bij 8,7% van de bevolking.
Zwitserland: nationaliteit alleen voor alle misdrijven samen, niet per delict.
Oostenrijk: geen gepubliceerde tabel, alleen losse Kamervragen.
België en Ierland: geen nationaliteit van verdachten per delict.
Kanttekeningen:
dit zijn verdachten, aanklachten of veroordelingen, afhankelijk van het land. Aangiftebereidheid kan per groep verschillen. In absolute aantallen heeft de meerderheid van de daders een autochtone achtergrond. Het gaat om het risico per persoon. En R² beschrijft hoe consistent het patroon is, niet waarom het bestaat.
Conclusie:
acht landen met één duidelijk patroon. En dat patroon wordt voor het grootste deel verklaard door herkomst.
Consequentie:
Bij het verlenen van de gunst van een verblijfsvergunning kunnen land bepalen wie daar wel en wie daar niet in aanmerking voor komt.

When we talk about crime and immigration, the underlying question is:
Who should we let in?
A person that commits 20x more crime than the average native is very bad. Don’t get these people in.
Now, if you only have 10 of them, are they yet a national threat? No, they’re not.
Can they become one?
Surely, if you only let in people like them.
So by talking about the per capita, you’re raising the alarm.
Another way to say the same thing: if a woman finds herself alone at night in the subway, and she can choose between one wagon with a native and one with an afghan asylum seeker, which one should she choose? By far, she will be safer with the native.
Does it mean the majority of rapes are committed by Afghans? No! There are too few. Thankfully! If there were as many as natives, the rape rate would be 10-20x higher.
So yes, you’re more likely to be raped by a native because there are many more.
Now the types of rapes. Broadly there are 2: from ppl you know, and from ppl you don’t know.
I’d argue the rapes from ppl you don’t know are much scarier, because you have zero agency on them, because there are few choices you can make differently to avoid them, short of curtailing your daily life.
Meanwhile, you have some agency with partners: don’t start relationships with bad people, leave them, don’t contact them, call for help…
I assume the natives tend to commit more of this type of crime, whereas immigrants commit more rapes to strangers. Therefore not only are these immigrants more likely to commit rape, they’re also more likely to commit the worst type of rape—to strangers.
And when we have public debates on these things, public behavior is much more relevant than private behavior, so this type of rape is much more relevant to public debate than the more private one (even if both are relevant).
So yes, this graph is bad because it’s logarithmic and undersells the problem, but also because this blends both stranger and acquainted rape. If you only look at stranger rape, immigrants would likely be even worse.
And yet, also, as a woman you’re more likely to be raped by somebody who knows you, so beware

The Chinese will drop the most unhinged savagery and insults at Turks 🇹🇷 online, no problem, but the moment a French footballer laughs at a photoshopped meme of himself as Mao and says he's "some guy - I think he's a Chinese dictator” in the most offhand way possible, it’s full Cultural Revolution mode.
Within hours, energy drink Dongpeng announced it was ending its partnership with Kylan Mbappé.
Then Mengniu, China's largest dairy producer, cut every tie with "immediate effect." Mengniu said it has "zero tolerance" for any words or actions that hurt the feelings of the Chinese people.
"Dongpeng Beverage ends cooperation with Mbappé" became the number one trending topic on Weibo.
For laughing at a dumb Mao meme on a French show, and not knowing who he was, Mbappé lost sponsors, and the state is now blacking out La Liga on Chinese TV.
Which is important context seeing that the Chinese keyboard warriors who popped out from behind the Great Firewall to hurl high IQ, historically sophisticated venom at Turks this past week have been advertising “look how free and based we are.”
But you're not really free and based if you can't even be ignorant of or not supply sufficient reverence to your nation's leaders and heroes.
Kylian Mbappé lost major Chinese sponsorship deals after joking about a meme of himself as Mao Zedong.
On the French YouTube show The Bridge (hosted by his France teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni), Mbappé was asked about his favorite meme of himself. He said it was the one where his face is put on the body of a “Chinese dictator” (Mao Zedong). He added that it really makes him laugh and that he uses it a lot with his friends (e.g., while gaming online).
Dongpeng (Eastroc Beverage / Bu Shui La brand), a major Chinese drinks company and one of Mbappé’s key Chinese sponsors, terminated all cooperation immediately. It stated it firmly opposes any conduct that hurts national sentiment and applies zero tolerance.
Mengniu, the large Chinese dairy company, also cut ties and removed Mbappé-related content from its social media (including Weibo).
