Are people just now starting to realize that the pompous, arrogant, ego-filled, smarter than everyone else Yankees have become a joke in part because of the way they project themselves after having not won for 17 years lol. You can’t call yourself the “Mecca of Baseball” and think you’re the gold standard after losing every year, then act surprised when other teams dance on your grave 😂

This stuff pisses me off so much and I’m so passionate about it and feel so strongly because I want the Yankees to win so badly, but the morale killer and unfortunate reality is that they’re led by weak men. Hal, Cashman and Boone. I’ve loved this team since I was a child. 2009 feels like a lifetime ago. What’s demoralizing is that they feel so far away from what championship-winning baseball is supposed to be. They’re nothing like that Brewers team. The Rays swept us, then got gentlemen swept in the World Series. The gap is enormous. But nobody accepts responsibility for that.
The Yankees entire philosophy from top to bottom needs to be revamped. 90 wins and a wild card berth is not good enough. The people in charge have been in power for way too long. Their clubhouse culture is not what it needs to be. Former Yankees keep coming out and saying it. We all know it. Except for the Yankees themselves. It’s just so frustrating because it feels like we’re trapped in this stagnant, vicious cycle of mediocrity and complacency with no end in sight.

Hal, Cash, and Boone scoff at this, still believing their method is correct and they’ll be proven right.
The reward is getting laughed at every year by the winner. An annual humiliation ritual. The Yankees deserve every ounce of this.

Imagine seeing Murphy talk about accountability and all the Brewers talk about “the standard” in the clubhouse and then Hal say that’s not a big motivator these days.
That’s why we continue to have Boone with Cashman calling the shots and go nowhere.

That Pat Murphy interview on the FOX desk just twisted the knife in me. Talking about how he’s not going to be liked by the players all the time but it’s about setting the standard in the clubhouse and everyone buying in. Must be nice.
The Yankees got eliminated in the division series and somehow they have managed to continue being humiliated every week from former players and the media and now the World Series winners who they didn’t even play. What happened to this once great organization?
