Competing in MLB isn't just about payroll. Smart decisions, scouting, player development, and execution are key. High or low payrolls don't guarantee postseason success.

100% true now
I’ll be honest, I was pretty mad about the Soto signing, but I think the team we will field next year is going to be better than if we signed Soto.
That obviously does not factor in having Soto for the next 16 years, but I think the 2025 Yankees will be a much more balanced team than something like last years.

Being a baseball fan is so cruel because you basically spend enough hours to work a full time job keeping up with your team over 162 games and it just ends like that.
I already know the Yankees are gonna win like 11-4 tonight and then lose 2-0 tomorrow. Would love some hope though!
How many times have we seen Stanton jog around the bases to know NOT to send him there? What are we doing? 🤦♂️
I definitely think we made a ton of the right moves in free agency this offseason.
When you have a bunch of injuries and underperforming players as the season goes on, you need to make changes at the trade deadline.
Outside of Jazz Chisholm who is currently hurt, the Yankees did not do enough at the deadline in a year you needed to go all-in with this team.
These results are frustrating but you should not be surprised. We also have a manager that does not usually make the best decisions. The Yankees should easily have the best record in baseball now by like 10+ games.
The White Sox just intentionally walked Juan Soto to face the best hitter in baseball, Aaron Judge. 🤣
Judge hammered his 300th career home run to left field. The fastest player to that mark in MLB history.
