How to escalate a dispute over a dollar to felony charges in the middle of the hood.
What began as a minor customer dispute at a Cenex convenience store in Kewanee, Illinois quickly spiraled into a rediculos chaotic event, resulting in three women facing serious felony charges.
This is the scoop on how single dollar dispute turned into a trip to the Henry County Jail for the three of them.
Around 11:45 AM, Nakeita "Coco" Simpson ordered a pizza at the store's counter, paying roughly $12. When she went to collect her food, employees notified her of a pricing discrepancy and asked for an additional $1. Frustrated by the wait and the extra charge, Simpson claimed the pizza was already cold, refused to pay the dollar, and demanded an immediate $12 cash refund. Because the kitchen staff had already prepared the food, store employees declined the return.
Simpson called 911 herself to report the store for taking her money. Simultaneously, store staff called law enforcement to have her removed after she refused to leave the counter. Kewanee Police officers arrived to handle what was legally a routine civil dispute over goods and payment.
Bodycam footage captures officers attempting to resolve the standoff peacefully. In an effort to close the matter quickly, a responding officer even offered to pay the missing $1 out of his own pocket so Simpson could take her food and leave.
Simpson rejected the offer, stating it was "about the principle" rather than the cash, and reiterated that she no longer trusted the food and wanted her money back from the register.
Two other women—Kianna Simpson (27) and Diamond Lockhart (18), arrived and joined the argument inside the store. Management formally requested that all three be trespassed. Officers repeatedly instructed Simpson that retail refund disagreements are civil matters, not criminal, and gave her clear directives to exit or face arrest for criminal trespass.
When Simpson refused to leave, officers moved in to place her in handcuffs. At that point, the interaction went further south.
The other two women intervened, shouting and physically confronting the officers.
A scuffle erupted across the floor and doorway as officers were shoved, pushed, and forced to call for emergency backup over the radio.
After a sustained struggle, backup units arrived, restored control, and took all three women into custody outside the store.
Instead of walking away over a $1 disagreement, all three women were transported to Henry County Jail and formally charged by prosecutors with:
Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer (Class 2 Felony)
Resisting / Obstructing a Peace Officer
Criminal Trespass to Real Property
All three defendants were later released on pretrial conditions in accordance with Illinois SAFE-T Act statutes pending their court hearings.
The big takeaway: A consumer dispute with a merchant is legally a civil issue. Once a private business requests your removal and law enforcement issues a formal trespass warning, remaining on site converts a civil complaint into an immediate criminal offense, and intervening in an arrest turns a misdemeanor into a felony.
Even if those ladies knew the repercussions for their actions, something tells me they would still have behaved the same way.

Want to know how Muslims became the majority in Lebanon 🇱🇧 ?
The Damour Massacre, January 20, 1976:
It has been 50 years since this photograph was taken.
Arabs so called "Palestinian” militants stormed the Christian town of Damour in Lebanon and slaughtered 582 Christian civilians.
A priest who lived through the attack described it as pure apocalypse.
“They poured in by the thousands, screaming ‘Allahu Akbar! Attack them for the Arabs — let us offer a holocaust to Mohammad!’
They butchered everyone in their path — men, women, and children.”
Men were forced against the walls of their own houses and cut down by gunfire.
Women were tortured and repeatedly raped.
Infants were shot in the back of the head.
Pregnant women had their unborn children torn from their wombs.
This was only one of many massacres carried out against Christians by ArabsPalestinian forces.
This is how Muslims became the majority in Lebanon.

On October 23, I organized a group to go to Providence Park to stand in @xx_xyathletics shirts holding scarves that read Save Women’s Sports.
We did not reveal our shirts until after half time. Immediately after we revealed our shirts, flags on PVC pipe poles were passed out by the @PDXRivetersSG and used to corral us and assault us.
We need to tell @ThornsFC and
@TimbersFC no more weapons! Why are the Rose City Riveters allowed to have weapons at @NWSL games??
Tell these organizations to REMOVE the weapons!!

Watch Democrat Van Jones on CNN blast the ad for Abdul El-Sayed that echos El-Sayed's words that argues that Americans have to set grocery money "aside for killing Palestinians" because of U.S. aid to Israel.
Jones: "This is an example of anti-Jewish hate, and it should be taken down immediately. And denounce, and by the way, Abdul should denounce this ad immediately."
@ScottJenningsKY adds: "It's economic incoherence wrapped up in anti-Semitism. So it's sort of par for the course. I mean, El-Sayed himself in this campaign has argued we can't have good education in this country because we fund the Iron Dome, which is completely wrong, nuts, economic incoherence. By the way, eggs, like $2.70 a carton, bananas, 40 or 50 cents a pound. It's economic incoherence. It's a lie, but it's all done in service to anti-Semitism. And at the same time, El-Sayed's campaign running ads featuring comments from Tucker Carlson. What is a Jewish Democrat in Michigan supposed to think right now? Why would El-Sayed have to answer these questions? It's a mystery."
