@AnthropicAI implemented Claude agents into Eve Frontier & Eve Online.
That's how seriously they took these worlds.
Meanwhile, creators & gamers faded both.
Declared them dead, called them too hard, and went looking for easier content.
I've spent months talking with gaming founders about AI agents, not as a gimmick, but as useful parts of the game.
The real opportunity is in what they enable: new gameplay, services players value, and revenue that supports the world rather than just extracting from it.

i believe they are
the games can just be different
some of them need skill
others are mostly speculation with attached game
and it’s fine
but in any case everybody wants to speculate on the assets. tokens, nfts, whatever
you can enjoy a game and want to make money from it
but no luck
web3 gaming was supposed to give players ownership
instead, the only ownership we got was vcs owning the teams’ asses
