The practice of Islam—fasting, praying, wearing hijab, avoiding alcohol, etc—should come from the sincere faith of believers.
When enforced by the state, society, or "religion police," they lose their religious meaning.

Afghan asylum seeker Sadeq Nikzad, 29, has been found guilty of raping a 15 year old girl on October 16, 2023.
He first made lewd comments & took her to the rear of The Courtyard pub, Falkirk where he molested & raped her.
He is in custody awaiting sentencing.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder following the incident outside Noor-Ul-Uloom mosque, on the corner of Sommerville Road and St Oswalds Road, at around 5.15pm.
Police said the incident was not connected to the mosque and arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of violent disorder and a 29-year-old man on suspicion of the same offence and assaulting an emergency worker
Detectives said no-one was seriously injured.
Chief Insp Haroon Chughtai said: “We have carried out enquiries and after speaking with various members of the community, and after initial CCTV enquiries, we are satisfied the incident is not linked to the mosque.
“We understand the concerns of the community, and we will be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area.”
