RIP Jim Lovell, the commander of Apollo 13, which exploded on its way to the Moon. He and his crew mates Jack Swigert and Fred Haise made it home by the skin of their teeth. Lovell was the only human to fly to the Moon twice without landing on it (Apollo 8 and 13).
