A significant take away from my 35 years of living has been never fight for a people/person more than they’re willing to fight for themselves. Feels good to be back home although this might be the roughest patches we’ve had in awhile—solutions are there. Just hear them. #NewYork – at East Tremont, Bronx

Ten people were killed at a grocery store in Buffalo, NY. They were specific people living their lives, and on our show this week, we remember them. bit.ly/3w1yhVI

#Gatsha & co dismiss cultural procedures to suit their goals but the Ancestors & God let you survive the Kraal process because you are the Zulu King as they told some of us prior to your seating on the throne. The mandate to return to order & truth is yours. Bayede #KingSimakade

What you have to understand is that many people who've spent their entire lives being handsomely paid by prestige Washington think tanks are not in D.C. to think - they are there to police the debate against those raising tough fact-based questions about their politician friends.

Until we have people that uphold their/our dignity as Africans until we have leaders with pride & backbones as to what is in the best interests of Africans across class and tribal lines…until then…we the people are aiding our oppressors. We need to do what’s best for the whole

This ad gives chills every single time.
This Nike ad begins showing a young Serena Williams envisioning herself winning the U.S. Open. Now, Six U.S. Open titles — and 17 other Grand Slams — later, Williams has announced her plans to retire. Her final tournament: the 2022 U.S. Open.

Not only are there not enough TILs to take on the growing referrals from crisis shelters but many are closing down, forcing their residents to return to crisis shelters. On the other hand supportive or low income housing can take YEARS to go through. /4

Theoretically a housing plan works like this: crisis shelter ➡️ transitional housing (TIL) ➡️ supportive housing or low income housing ➡️ own apartment. Each stage increases the length of program. Problem is there still isn’t enough housing and people run out of time waiting. /3

Why “they can just go to a homeless shelter” fundamentally misunderstands how the shelter system works. 🧵/1

Sounds like the kind of lesson God would concoct to teach humanity a deep lesson on classism and our allowing poverty to exist. The cure could also be within the herb system of the indigenous peoples suppressed by the brutality colonialism and capitalism.
The cure to cancer is probably in the mind of someone who can’t afford to pay for college.
