It was a lonely day in our class today - our first day without our pre-service teacher, Ms. Candelora! She is already so missed! @GlooscapS @AVRCE_NS @AcadiaU
It’s been a great pride week @GlooscapS! Grade 1s & their 4/5 learning buddies created this display. They decorated the links with their names & positive affirmations! 🏳️🌈🥰@AVRCE_NS @AVRCE #freetobe #beyou #linkedtogether
Thanks @SeeWhatGrows for our free seed package and books! They both have beautiful illustrations! Excited for spring and for our students to plant a seed and see what grows! #greatprogram #seewhatgrows #experientiallearning @AVRCE_NS @GlooscapS
Our 3rd annual Math Week is off to a fantastic start at @GlooscapS! There is so much fun and problem solving lined up for our students! @AVRCE_NS @avrceprograms
With mixed emotions, we said goodbye to @AcadiaU pre-service teacher, Ms. Eve Bartlett, a few weeks ago. She made such a positive impact on our students daily! The students created a book of reference letters for her as a writing project🥰@GlooscapS @AVRCE_NS

As VP of Glooscap Elementary School, Holly Rand connects with students, families, and school community members across generations to support learning and student well-being. This outstanding work has earned Holly an Education Week award--congratulations!
Congratulations to @GlooscapS’s VP @HollyRand3 for being recognized this year for excellence in the PSAANs category. We are so lucky to have such a devoted & student driven leader on our staff! @AVRCE_NS
During @gesmathweek some staff shared their favourite numbers! Okay, maybe Taylor Swift doesn’t work @GlooscapS but she somehow made it on our board! @AVRCE_NS #luckynumber13
So much fun with math happening in our preprimary classrooms! @AVRCE_NS @GlooscapS #gesmathweek @Clariss91239646
As part of our #gesmathweek 100 numbered Wolf Paws have been hidden around the school. Once a student finds one, they put their name on it, then put it in our open number line in the correct spot. All Paws will be entered for a prize! @GlooscapS @AVRCE_NS
Some of our @GlooscapS students participated in workshops from @NSMathCircles the last two days. Thanks Neil and Fatema for sharing your knowledge & love of math with us! @AVRCE_NS #mathcirclesns #math #elementarymath #pentominoes #gesmathweek
We’ve learned a lot in 100 days! This is the result of a short brainstorm until we ran out of room! ☺️ @GlooscapS @AVRCE_NS #100daysofschool #memories
Mrs. Young is missing! And Miss Viola Swamp is substituting today 😬😇 #gesliteracyweek #dressupday #literacyweek #bookcharacters @GlooscapS @AVRCE_NS @AVRCE_LITERACY
As part of #gesliteracyweek our students were treated today to an author talk from 2 local authors! Meaghan Parent, a CDHS alumni & former resident of Pereau, & Hailey Crowell, an 11 year old Coldbrook student, both did an amazing job! THANK YOU! @AVRCE_NS
Heather’s Picks are great at Chapters, but have you seen Glooscap’s Picks? Love to see our staff participating in sharing their favourite books! @GlooscapS @AVRCE_LITERACY @AVRCE_NS #favouritebooks #gesliteracyweek #literacyweek #reading @chaptersindigo
We already know a lot about cycles in our class! I love a good brainstorm - I’m always surprised by their background knowledge! @GlooscapS @AVRCE_LITERACY @AVRCE_NS #cycles #lifecycles #grade1and2science
Students loved reading this book our class received through @NSAgriculture in the classroom. It helped us make connections between living things & the environment, and of course, to learn about all the cows we see on our bus ride to & from school!
First Monday of the year under our belt! We made it! 🫠🎉 #weareallreaders @AVRCE_LITERACY @AVRCE_NS @GlooscapS
