Erykah Badu joins The Shop to talk about her new music, she compares her older music to Tupperware company.
“Tupperware made material so well that they didn’t have return customers, so eventually Tupperware went out of business…Even though they made smaller containers and different products, people didn’t need them because the original material was so good.”

What’s happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world. 🌍 The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos. 💯🙏🏽

Vic Mensa and Killer Mike on what really connects the Black diaspora 🖤
Vic says there's a lot to argue about across the diaspora, and those differences are real. But look at who profits. GEO Group, one of the biggest private prison companies in the world, locks up Black people in America and runs a prison in South Africa too. Same puppet master, different continent. He says seeing that is a better use of our energy than picking at our own fractures.
Killer Mike fully agrees. To the oppressor, it never mattered what we wear or which culture or tribe we come from. Since 1619 the goal has been the same: extract labor. So he says we need to stop defining ourselves by separate, warring identities.
Then he adds the responsibility part. Black Americans have built real freedom in this system, the freedom to talk back and to control commerce. As we build, we can't shut the door on the rest of the diaspora. Use that power to lift people up.
