TWO BLACK AFRICAN PLAYERS IN A MATCHDAY 23. THE TARGET SAYS SEVEN 🇿🇦 Springboks vs Italy in Turin: 13 white (57%), 10 players of colour (43%), 2 black African (9%) Ox Nche and Siya Kolisi. The starting XV gets close, 7 of 15. The bench is where it collapses: 6 white, 2 colour, none black African.💀 Is this the most transformed Bok era, or the most transformed-looking one? Be honest 👇👇🏻 #Springboks #TransformationTargets #NationsChampionship #ScrumAtMe

MOST TRANSFORMED BOK SQUAD IN A GENERATION. STILL SHORT OF THE TARGET… 💀 Bok squad: 16 of 37 players of colour (43%). Target was 50% by 2019. Black African players: 5 of 37 (14%). Guideline: ~30%. No Hacjivah Dayimani, No Embrose Papier 🤯💀 #Springboks #Transformation #ScrumAtMe

"In August 1988, Shirley Gunn walked into the headquarters of the Western Cape Military Command in Cape Town carrying a limpet mine hidden inside a custard box. Wearing a sunhat, sunglasses and a dress, she did a route check past the Adderley Street flower sellers, bought everlasting flowers as a disguise, and walked straight in. She went to the tearoom and drank tea, careful not to leave fingerprints, waiting for construction workers to leave. She planted the device in a tunnel and walked out, dumping the flowers at the Grand Parade before returning to a safe house in Clifton. Minutes later, the blast tore through the base, causing massive damage but no casualties. In 1986, she left South Africa for Umkhonto we Sizwe military training in Angola and Cuba. When she returned, she went underground, co-commanding the Ashley Kriel Detachment. In 1990, they detained her again, this time with her infant son." - @thyphoidjack

I went back home to White City Jabavu, Soweto. To my neighbour who was a mother to me. When my mother was arrested or hiding from the police, she cared for me. Her husband, the late Mr George Tshabalala, was fond of me and believed in me despite the chaos and the violence around, He said, "You will be a doctor." She said, "You will be a teacher." Mr Tshabalala was right. I became a medical doctor. Today I went back to tell her: maZulu thank you. You saw a teacher in me. With my PhD, I am now going to be a "teacher" too. You were both right. I am a medical doctor and a "teacher" .

Corporate South Africa socialised an entire generation into believing it was perfectly normal for a man to vanish from his family for 11 months of the year, buried in the mines and/or factories, only to reappear once during the festive season like a seasonal visitor. Hostels in our townships were not just accommodation, they were the official infrastructure for this system: Warehouses for full-time workers and part-time fathers. They deliberately engineered absent fathers and now we act shocked at the statistics. Embracing fatherhood may never be easy for those who grew up without fathers. Many still think just providing money is the only role a father has to play. May we become the generation that will change the narrative. 🇿🇦🙏🏾
South Africa has the world's highest rate of absent fathers. Only 36% of children live with their biological dads in the country.

They killed 34 unamrmed miners in 2012 for demanding a pay raise, they dont even want to fire rubber bullets at Zama zamas who are armed with automatic rifles and grenades. Think about that
Zama zamas are ruthless criminals.

If SAFA were serious about continuity and progress Makhelele should have been given the chance to coach the national team . Makhelele did very well with the under 23 team and he was the understudy of Broos for 6 years . Come on SAFA what is wrong with Makhelele

All we want is R0.75 per unit & electricity to be declared zero-rated.
[ICYMI] Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says they have a new proposed electricity pricing policy that categorises consumers and gives subsidies to the poor. He says these subsidies end up paying for salaries when given to municipalities. Ramokgopa adds that some municipalities currently pass the cost of technical losses to consumers, leading to high tariffs. Watch: tinyurl.com/3e44tz3w
