Every rating could have been boosted by 0.5-1 star if the makers were not stupid to show a trimmed english dubbed version in world premier.
I have always been against this trimmed down eng version. Dubbing in eng is a good decision, trimming it down and premier in eng is not.
True, Namit fumbled big time here imo too. the whole point is to let people experience a different culture and its storytelling in its original form. You can’t expect people to connect with something if you’re already deciding what they will or won’t appreciate
DhurandharChods ko lag raha Dhurandhar Ke Baad ab koi mass masala entertainer nahi dekhega lekin waha jailer 2 800cr karne ko hai aur KING ka sab sahi raha toh potential 1000cr tabh corporate ka remdi rona karna hoga inhe 💔
Works better as a cut-out than as a poster, now hoping @justSidAnand gets the teaser right

The man they call the FINEST actor in the country right now
The actor playing Prince Raama (Ranbir Kapoor) is some serious talent, moved to tears! An unforgettable experience. Full #Ramayana review on Friday.
“Ramayana is more about spectacle and action than serial level drama”, so i just hope the emotions hit hard regardless of how long it is. If it delivers on that, I’ve already won
Suar AR RAHMAN ko Matlab aur ghodi banayenge post release
#Ramayana Initial Impressions:
A hugely ambitious film mounted on a grand scale, and the effort behind it is clearly visible. The team largely stays true to the Ramayana, but the film leans more on spectacle and action than drama and emotion, leaving parts of the narration feeling flat and even serial like at times. The second half also drags in places because of where Part 1 chooses to end, with limited material stretched out through lengthy action blocks that don’t create much impact
Yash as Ravana is the biggest highlight and is superb, especially in his introduction portions. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are solid as Ram and Sita, though the divine aura and emotional weight don’t always fully translate on screen.
The visuals are stunning in parts and the money spent is clearly visible, but some scenes still have a noticeable studio/green screen feel with a few cartoonish asuras. The biggest negative, hands down, is the music. For a story like Ramayana, the score has to carry much of the divinity and emotion, but the Indian-Hollywood blend largely backfires and ends up feeling like neither apart from a few scenes.
The ambition and scale deserve a lot of applause. Definitely watchable and better than a few recent adaptations, but it falls short of the massive expectations and ultimately feels like a mixed bag with so much more potential.
Full review with rating later in my usual style (review embargo)
