I really would like to see more cons have 2 stages (that can support it).
A dedicated house stage/ dance grooves would be ideal for people who don't want those faster, hard hiting sets. High energy but not brain rattling. There is no main stage, just 2 stages. – at Santa Maria, CA
Apparently @mkcouncil and I have very different ideas about what constitutes making safe a damaged bit of mains electrical kit in a public place. Apparently throwing some of the cheapest packing tape they could find at it and hoping it would stick is fine. Work complete they say!

NEWS // C20 has backed the campaign to save the unlisted Art Deco Picturehouse in Bromley from imminent closure.
Designed in 1936 by George Coles, it has remained in continuous use as a cinema, and underwent a £4.5 milllion refurbishment in 2019.

I still can't quite wrap my head around the fact that this car was launched 60 years ago (okay, slightly less for the facelifted version). The design doesn't look half as dated as many half it's age. Also absolutely does not feel anywhere near it's age from the driver's seat.
Me approximately an hour ago: "Hmm. I should make a point of replacing that Rifa cap before I do much with this."
Ten minutes ago: *BANG!* - Desk disappears in a cloud of smoke.
Great. Now my room smells of immolated capacitor innards. Rookie mistake.
I am officially in the market for a replacement engine for my Trabant. Or if it's cheap enough, a good core to rebuild. This one has damage to basically everything aside from the external components.
Anyone in the UK got one available they'd be willing to part with?
Well I have successfully un-broken what I messed up yesterday, so the Rover has oil pressure again. On the plus side, I've now made a priming tool so that's in the tool box for next time I accidentally de-prime the oil pump.
Sadly the leak still needs sorting!
Well this would indeed explain the Unhappy Noises which resulted in my Trabant failing to make it to ConFuzzled. Now to try to figure out where these bits of metal came from, and if they have other friends waiting to cause more mayhem.
Well today could have gone better.
Something pretty major has let loose within the bowels of the engine of my poor Trabant. Haven't had a chance to investigate yet as I was running to catch a train, but the engine doesn't make a full revolution now. Oh dear.
Aurora visible from as far south as Milton Keynes, in May. Wouldn't have given good odds on ever seeing that!
Glad to report we had a clean MOT pass this afternoon for my little Trabant.
Always slightly unnerving the first time you take a 40 year old car in for a test, even when you're reasonably confident it will pass!
Had a really fun day yesterday at @arcadeclubuk in Bury. More arcade games than you can shake a stick at, but the real draw for me was a decent selection of pinball tables, a very rare sight on this side of the Atlantic! The Getaway was definitely my favourite of the bunch.
