When the kids were young and into amusement parks, I loved to take them on the wildest roller coasters. The last roller coaster I ever went on was Goliath in 2013 Valencia, California. I saw stars and almost blacked out. Swore off them ever since. My prayers for his son and family and everyone that witnessed such a tragedy.

As someone who has spent an ungodly amount of time in airbnbs, regular hotels, and extreme stay hotels over the last 2 years I can assure you that airbnbs are significantly better than hotels at everything except providing a swimming pool
Extended Stay hotels like Hyatt House, Residence Inn, and Homewood Suites prove this wrong

Would you rather pay $1000 for the weekend at a 5 bedroom cottage and strip the beds, put the trash in the bins right outside and start a dishwasher? Or $1100 to have it done for you?

I have been horribly MIA. Deep into renovating my cabin so I can provide 24/7 maid and butler service to AIRBNB guests, as the world seems to think it should be! I am also the proud new owner of a sliding miter saw on a stand!

In 1981, a premature baby boy was born in a California hospital weighing just 3 pounds, 2 ounces. Doctors gave him a 50 percent chance of surviving, and his pediatrician, Dr. Michael Shannon, spent countless hours caring for him until he was finally strong enough to pull through. That little boy was Chris Trokey. He grew up healthy, eventually becoming a firefighter and paramedic in California, never knowing that one day he'd have the chance to help save the doctor who had saved him. On March 29, 2011, Dr. Shannon was driving along Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point, California, when a truck struck his SUV, pinning it beneath the larger vehicle. His SUV caught fire, and he was trapped inside with flames burning his legs. Firefighters rushed to the scene and began working to get him out. Among them was Chris Trokey, the same little boy Dr. Shannon had cared for 30 years earlier. Chris had no idea who was inside the burning vehicle. He was simply doing his job, helping the other firefighters extinguish the flames and free the trapped driver. They managed to get Dr. Shannon out alive, although his injuries were serious. He spent 45 days in the hospital and lost two toes. It wasn't until afterward, when Chris heard the doctor's name, that he realized who they'd rescued. The man he'd just helped save was the same doctor who had fought to keep him alive when he was a premature newborn. Thirty years had passed since Dr. Shannon cared for that tiny baby, and now that baby was a grown man who'd helped rescue him from a burning vehicle. In 2015, the two reunited at a charity event. By that time, Chris had become a father himself, and Dr. Shannon was even caring for Chris's little boy as his pediatrician. Thirty years after Dr. Shannon helped save Chris's life, Chris was there when the doctor needed saving. Today, their families share a connection that began with a premature baby fighting to survive back in 1981. I've always believed certain people come into our lives at certain times for a reason. I don't believe in coincidences. Do you?

Glad there are still a few principled Democrats left! 🚨IT'S OFFICIAL: Former Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lon Johnson just announced he will NOT vote for Abdul El Sayed for Senate, and he's urging fellow Democrats to leave the Senate line BLANK. Wow! "Our gravest concerns involve El Sayed's associations with figures who have excused or minimized terrorism, his reluctance to unequivocally condemn dangerous rhetoric, and his support of extreme policies." "He has failed that test. As a result, we will not vote for Abdul El Sayed."

When the Muslim population in a country is less than 2%, they are a peace-loving minority that poses no threat to other ethnic groups. United States 1.1%, China 1.8% for example. When the Muslim population is 2-5%, they begin to push for government authorization to enforce Islamic law in Muslim enclaves, recruiting new members from prisons and the streets, with disturbances occurring in Muslim enclaves. Such countries include: Australia 3.2%, Canada 4.9%, Italy 4.8%. Denmark 5.4%, Germany 6.7%, United Kingdom 6%, Spain 5.3%, Thailand 5.4% When the Muslim population reaches 5-10%, major disturbances erupt in Muslim enclaves; they advocate for the introduction of halal foods, ensuring that halal food practitioners are Muslims; they pressure chain supermarkets to label shelves with halal certifications, threatening those who refuse to comply. Such countries include: Denmark 5.4%, Germany 6.7%, United Kingdom 6%, Spain 5.3%, Thailand 5.4%, Philippines 5%, Sweden 7.1%, Switzerland 5.9%, Netherlands 5.5%. When the Muslim population approaches 10-20%, nationwide riots occur; Muslims issue a series of demands, such as building large mosques in enclaves, granting super-national and super-legal privileges, forcing non-Muslims to follow Muslim customs, and criminalizing "expressions of dissatisfaction with Islam." Such countries include: France 10.8%, India 14.6%, Israel 18.4%, Russia 13%. When the Muslim population is 20-60%, jihadist militants sporadically massacre non-believers, burning down Christian and Jewish places of worship; other ethnic groups either convert to Islam out of fear of being killed or are killed by Muslims; the country experiences massacres and ongoing terrorist attacks. Such countries include: Ethiopia 33%, Bosnia 50.7%, Chad 55%. When the Muslim population reaches 60-80%, Islamic law replaces secular law, establishing a theocratic regime that persecutes all other non-believers in the name of the state, massacres Christians, and imposes taxes on non-believers using Islamic law as a weapon. Such countries include: Lebanon 67.8, Albania 60%, Malaysia 63%, Qatar 77.5% (Qatari citizen 100%). When the Muslim population is 80%-98%, the country lives in daily intimidation, violence, and jihad, carrying out ethnic cleansing and massacres, with the state expelling non-believers. Such countries include: Sudan 96.6%, Bangladesh 90%, Egypt 93%, Indonesia 87%, Iraq 99.6%, Pakistan 97%, Palestine 98%, Syria 90%, Turkey 94%. When the Muslim population is 98 to 100%, the Islamic people welcome the "House of Islamic Peace." In theory, this should be a time of peace, as everyone is Muslim, living in harmony without internal strife—but in reality, it is nothing like that; peace is not achieved, because in 100% purely Islamic countries, Muslim groups of different sects attack each other, vie to become the leaders of domestic Islamic law, and seek to eliminate other Muslim factions for all sorts of reasons. Such countries include: When the Muslim population is 80%-99%, the country lives in daily intimidation, violence, and jihad, carrying out ethnic cleansing and massacres, with the state expelling non-believers. Such countries include: , Afghanistan 100%, Somalia 99.6%, Yemen 100%. Maldives 99%, Mauritania 99.6%, Morocco 99%, Niger 98.2%, Iran 99.5%

I'm a Board Certified anesthesiologist and have been in practice for 24 years. I just learned that the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where I trained has launched a program to increase flu vaccine uptake among children by vaccinating them while under anesthesia. The program is called "Close your Eyes. We'll Immunize" This is stunningly irresponsible. Here's why: Anesthetists are extremely risk avoidant and endeavor to minimize patient exposure to anything which carries potential side effects. This is particularly true of pediatric patients who very often have never been exposed to anesthetic medications. We simply cannot know how an individual child will respond to these drugs for the first time. Every single medication we administer during an operation can potentially trigger untoward or allergic responses. When this occurs our primary responsibility is to stabilize the patient. Our secondary responsibility is to identify the offending agent. There is absolutely no justification of introducing another agent, in this case a flu vaccine, which carries a risk of harm and contributes nothing to the success of the operation. Some of the more common side effects of flu vaccines are fever (11-16%) and less commonly, a rash (1%). There is also an non-zero risk of severe allergic reactions and high-grade fevers which can develop over the course of minutes. What if a child under anesthesia receives a vaccine and develops a rash and/or fever? Is it from the antibiotic that the surgeon requested? Is it from the narcotic? The anxiolytic? The barbiturate? Anesthetic gases can also (rarely) trigger a life threatening response called Malignant Hyperthermia which commonly presents as a high fever. Without subsequent testing we cannot know which agent was responsible. Most commonly the testing is never done and the child’s record will forever reflect the possibility that some or all of the drugs which were used are responsible for their reaction. This makes future anesthetic care significantly more challenging and will require the use of alternatives which may not be necessary. Advocating for a flu vaccine while a child is anesthetized reflects the pervasive yet inaccurate attitude among the medical establishment that vaccines are perfectly safe. I simply cannot believe that my mentors would have ever supported this initiative when I was a resident there. Close your eyes indeed.

It’s not every day you stumble across a recording in which U.S. citizens discuss plans to declare the federal government illegitimate. Here’s one particularly alarming excerpt: “If the federal government’s deemed to be illegitimate … then the governors become the leading governing authority under the current republic framework of our Constitution.” And then there’s this one: “I really want to emphasize this is not a concept for a secession. No one is talking about leaving the United States.” Of course they’re not “talking about leaving the United States”; they’re talking about a planned transfer of governing authority outside the constitutional process—replacing the authority of the federal government with governors and outside networks. I hope this turns out to be a deep fake or a bad practical joke—because if it’s real, it’s unbelievably frightening. Either way, it’s a good reminder to vote carefully in November.
🚨🚨THE DEMOCRACY FILES, PART 2: WHEN AND HOW TO DECLARE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ILLEGITIMATE 🚨 Some questioned whether a group of 200 ex-USAID officials could actually pull off their ambitions to rewrite the Constitution. Here, they describe exactly how it works. They aren't working alone. The videos all come from Renew to Thrive (R2T) group and associates. Danielle Reiff and Paul Zeitz play key roles within R2T. R2T sits inside a much, much larger umbrella called United Democracy Alliance (UDA), which is an extremely hush-hush control plane of leaders from major "blocking" NGOs such as 50501 and Indivisible fulfilling various functions. UDA decides when protests get deployed, timelines, how to respond, all that. R2T's role within UDA is concerned with "the day after tomorrow" - in other words, their function is to conceive what a rewritten American government will look like after the rest of UDA fulfills its purpose. As will be shown, Erica Chenoworth is credited with conceiving UDA in the first place under the Horizons "Big Tent" initiative. Note here that National Security Leaders for America (NSL4A) is credited for operationalizing UDA. NSL4A is a group of 1,600 ex-military, intelligence, and diplomatic officials. They are led by Rear Admiral Michael E. Smith (Ret). NSL4A also played a key role in the "illegal orders" messaging which targeted Pete Hegseth. Zeitz is also a member of NSL4A. It must be emphasized that the choice of a military-oriented organization to coordinate NGOs across domestic protests is an interesting one all in itself - especially in an umbrella conceived by a regime change expert like Chenoworth. You will have a hard time finding any mentions of UDA in the public. They are extremely hush-hush and selective who they talk to. Mike Smith himself makes a personal appearance in other calls, coordinating Insurrection Act exercises and roleplaying with R2G as one of the participants. As the audio transcript shows, they have outlined a sequence of "redlines" in which case the federal government should be declared illegitimate. Invoking the Insurrection Act against "peaceful" protesters is one of the most discussed redlines. I will post the illegitimate criteria below, but basically, almost any effective pushback against NGOs is a measure of illegitimacy according to them. Important to understand: The audio shows they shopped this idea around governors, but the reality is that governors do not have to explicitly sign on to the pact to play their role in the coup. All they have to do is refuse troops in their state and let UDA / R2G do the work of dissolving the federal government.

This is not even real… a group of retired admirals, ex-USAID bureaucrats and professional protest organizers got caught on their own recordings working out the conditions under which they get to declare the government of the United States illegitimate, and somehow we are supposed to believe they are the ones protecting democracy. Here is what @DataRepublican put out in Part 2 of the Democracy Files. The videos come from a group called Renew to Thrive, with Danielle Reiff and Paul Zeitz in key roles, and it sits inside a much bigger umbrella called the United Democracy Alliance, which she describes as the hush-hush control room for groups like 50501 and Indivisible, deciding when protests get deployed, the timelines and how to respond. National Security Leaders for America, 1,600 former military, intelligence and diplomatic officials led by retired Rear Admiral Michael E. Smith, is credited with operationalizing the whole thing. On tape they lay out a list of "redlines," and invoking the Insurrection Act against "peaceful" protesters is one of the most discussed… and as she lays it out, they shopped the idea around to governors who don't even have to sign anything, all a governor has to do is refuse federal troops and let the network do the rest. Make no mistake about who Mike Smith is. His own organization's bio says he founded and led National Security Leaders for Biden, more than 1,100 members with an endorsement letter signed by 780 of them, and now he runs a "non partisan" group that just cares so deeply about the oath. But hey… I am sure it is totally nonpartisan this time. And the very same morning the Washington Post runs a story about a small group of current and former Defense Department officials quietly advising governors, election officials and lawmakers in 10 states on how to prepare for the Trump administration "interfering" in the midterms, rehearsing what to do if a federal agent asks for access to ballots or machines. Different names, same message… the elected federal government is the threat, and the people who run the elections are the ones who need protecting from it. Let me put it to you like this. They are building the excuse before the event even happens. They coordinate the protests, they decide in advance which government response crosses their line, and then they hold that response up as proof the whole government is illegitimate and the governors should take over. How exactly is that defending the Constitution? If a room full of retired conservative officers got caught on tape role playing how to declare a Democrat president illegitimate, the FBI would be knocking on doors before the coffee got cold and every network in the country would run it wall to wall. I am angry about this, and I think most of you are not angry enough. These people swore an oath to the Constitution, not to a party, and they are treating the legitimacy of an elected government like a privilege they get to revoke the minute the voters pick somebody they don't like. As DataRepublican puts it, almost any effective pushback against their NGOs counts as illegitimate in their book. Where is the outrage from the people who spent five years lecturing you about threats to democracy? Admiral Smith, Ms. Reiff, Dr. Zeitz… release every recording in full and explain to the American people, under oath, exactly what you were planning for the day after.

For more than 30 years, a mother in Tacoma, Washington, placed a birthday message in the newspaper for a son she hadn't seen since he was five weeks old. She had no idea where he was or whether he'd ever read a single word she'd written, but every year she kept trying. Her name was Patti Langdon, and in 1967, at just 22 years old, she gave birth to a little boy she desperately wanted to keep. Because she was unmarried, her father pressured her into giving him up for adoption. Patti later remembered dreaming about running away with her baby rather than losing him. But when he was just five weeks old, she had to say goodbye, not knowing if she'd ever hold him again. As the years passed, she thought about all the birthdays she was missing. She wondered what he looked like, whether he was happy, and what kind of man he was becoming. So she began placing birthday messages in the newspaper, hoping that somehow, somewhere, her son might see one and realize his mother had never stopped looking for him. Meanwhile, that little boy had grown up to become a man named Todd Smith, with a family of his own. He knew he was adopted, but he had no idea his birth mother had spent decades trying to reach him. In June 2010, Todd was sitting at his computer when he became curious about how many babies had been born at Tacoma General Hospital on the same day he was in 1967. He searched online, and the very first result was a newspaper advertisement addressed to "Baby Boy Langdon." It was from his mother. After 43 years, one of Patti's birthday messages had finally reached the person she'd been writing them for. Todd and his wife found her address and drove to her apartment, but nobody answered when they knocked. Just as they were preparing to leave, a neighbor approached them. Todd showed him the advertisement, and the neighbor went to find Patti. Imagine being Patti that day. For 43 years, she'd wondered whether her son was alive and well, whether he knew she loved him, and whether she'd ever get the chance to tell him herself. Now he was standing right there. When Patti finally saw Todd, she was so overwhelmed she could barely speak. The baby she'd last held at five weeks old was now a grown man, standing in front of her after a lifetime apart. Patti and Todd were given nearly seven years together before she passed away in 2017. She never got back the childhood she'd missed, or those first 43 birthdays. But she finally got to know her son, and he got to know the mother who had never stopped searching for him. After 43 years apart, what do you even say to the son you've spent all those years missing?

In 1995, Christopher Reeve was lying in a hospital bed, paralyzed from the neck down after a terrible horseback riding accident. He was frightened, facing major surgery, and wondering what kind of life he had left. His old friend Robin Williams decided to pay him a visit, but Robin being Robin, he wasn't about to walk into that hospital room like an ordinary visitor. The two had been close friends since their days studying acting at Juilliard in the early 1970s. They'd watched each other become Hollywood stars, Reeve as Superman and Williams as one of the funniest men in entertainment. Robin showed up wearing a blue surgical cap, a yellow hospital gown, and glasses. Speaking in an outrageous Russian accent, he introduced himself as Reeve's proctologist and announced that he needed to perform an examination immediately. Christopher was so confused that he initially wondered whether the medication was making him hallucinate. Once he realized it was Robin, he burst out laughing. It was the first time he'd laughed since the accident. Reeve later wrote about that visit in his autobiography, Still Me, explaining how much it meant to him during one of the darkest periods of his life. He also recalled something he said to himself after that visit. "If I could laugh, I could live." Robin and his wife Marsha continued supporting Christopher and his family throughout the years that followed. Their friendship went well beyond Hollywood, and Robin remained involved with the Reeve Foundation. I've always loved Robin Williams for his ability to make people laugh, but stories like this make me appreciate the man behind all those wonderful performances even more. Sometimes being a good friend means knowing exactly when someone needs a laugh, even when there's very little to laugh about.

Movement #9, Wade Forward and Twist Step, and Movement #10, Cover Hand and Punch, are now posted and pinned together with the full video breakdown. Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang taught, “松柔就是蓄,蓄得好就发得好,” meaning that relaxation and softness are what allow you to store energy, and if you store well, you can issue well. That leads directly into fajin, 发劲, the sudden issuing of trained force. In Chen-style Tai Chi, the strike is not powered by the arm alone. The legs, waist, dantian, torso and fist coordinate so the force is released together in one quick action. I repeated the punch several times in the video so you can see that change more clearly, from the softer preparation into the sudden release of power. Enjoy your practice.
Good Sunday X 🙏 We continue breaking down the Chen-style Hunyuan 48 form, one movement at a time. This week I’m combining Movements #9 and #10 because they flow so naturally into each other. Movement #9 - Wade Forward and Twist Step 前蹚拗步 - Qián Tàng Ào Bù Movement #10 - Cover Hand and Punch 掩手肱捶 - Yǎn Shǒu Gōng Chuí Wade Forward and Twist Step carries the body forward while the arms cross and reorganize the line of attack. The step closes distance, changes the angle, and sets up the body for what comes next. That next movement is Cover Hand and Punch. The covering action clears and controls the space in front of the body, then the punch comes through from that setup. What makes these two movements work so well together is that #9 does not really feel finished before #10 begins. The forward step creates the opening, and the punch takes advantage of it. Practiced together, they feel less like two separate postures and more like one continuous idea moving from entry to strike. #TaiChi #HealthyLiving #Mindfulness

To every American, and to everyone watching France burn from abroad: Do not blame the French people for this. We never asked for it. We never voted for it. And the one time we were clearly asked, we said no. Here are the numbers your media won't show you. 70% of the French say there are too many immigrants in France today. 79% want a tougher immigration policy. 77% disapprove of the government's record on immigration. 83% want foreign criminals and long-term unemployed foreigners sent home. And no, it's not just the old. 69% of French 18 to 24 year olds support suspending legal immigration for three years. This is not a fringe. This is the French people. In 2005, we were asked if we wanted the European Constitution. 55% voted no. Three years later, our politicians passed the same text under another name, through parliament, without ever asking us again. That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway. So who is responsible? The politicians who lied to us. A class of leaders formed in the same schools, the same forums, the same networks, loyal to each other before they are loyal to their nations. In 2017, at Harvard, Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, bragged about his Young Global Leaders program in four words: "We penetrate the cabinets." He added that it was true in France. Emmanuel Macron was one of his Young Global Leaders. It's the same project in Brussels with Ursula von der Leyen and in Paris with Macron. Borders treated as an obstacle. Nations treated as relics. The people treated as a problem to be managed. What you are watching in France is not the French people failing. It is the end of the globalist project, an abject, quasi-communist dream of a world run by unelected planners. It is collapsing everywhere in Europe at once, and the West has to cut this cancer out before it takes the rest of the body with it. The peoples of Europe don't want this. They never did. So when you see our town halls burning, don't say "the French chose this." The French never chose this. They were forced into it. If you're French and you agree, repost this so the world hears it from us. If you're American, look at us carefully. Then choose differently on November 3rd.

In 1977, people in Circleville, Ohio, started getting some pretty nasty letters in the mail. No return addresses, no signatures, just accusations about affairs, family secrets, and threats from someone who seemed to know everybody's business. A school bus driver named Mary Gillispie was one of the main targets. The letters accused her of having an affair with the school superintendent, Gordon Massie. Her husband Ron started receiving them too. In August 1977, Ron got a mysterious phone call, grabbed his gun, and drove off. He never made it home. His truck crashed into a tree, killing him. Police found his gun beneath his body, and it had been fired once. His blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit, so authorities ruled his death an accident. His family wasn't convinced. By February 1983, things had gotten even uglier. Mary was driving her school bus route when she spotted a sign along the road making obscene remarks about her teenage daughter. She stopped to take it down and discovered a box attached to it. Inside was a loaded handgun, rigged to fire when the sign was pulled. Someone had set a gun trap along a school bus route, apparently hoping Mary would stop and remove the sign. Investigators traced the gun to Mary's brother-in-law, Paul Freshour. He admitted owning it but said someone had stolen it from his garage. His estranged wife also told investigators she'd found anonymous letters hidden in their home. Freshour denied writing the letters or setting the trap, but a jury convicted him of attempted murder in October 1983. He received a sentence of 7 to 25 years. People thought they'd finally caught the person responsible for terrorizing their town. Except the letters kept coming. Residents received them while Freshour was in prison, including during periods when he was held in isolation. Freshour even received a threatening letter himself. He was released in 1994, around the time the letters stopped. He died in 2012, still insisting he was innocent. CBS's 48 Hours later had a handwriting expert examine 49 letters. She concluded Freshour had written them. Investigators also reported finding his fingerprints on some of the letters sent during his imprisonment. There was evidence pointing toward Freshour, but questions remained about how those letters were mailed from outside the prison and whether anyone else was involved. Nobody was ever charged with writing the letters themselves, and the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office considers the case closed. For nearly 17 years, somebody terrorized a small Ohio town through the mail. A man died, a woman nearly walked into a gun trap, and hundreds of threatening letters circulated. Do you think Freshour was responsible for all of it, or did someone else have a hand in those letters?

I’ve been warning you about this for a long time. Administrators and parents in Texas school districts had no idea their kids were being fed chicken from animals abused and killed by barbaric Islamic halal slaughter methods. Halal means that animals are violently killed while conscious and Islamists recite “Bismillah” and “Allahu Akbar” as they slash their throats. These districts say the halal products came through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s @USDA purchasing system. That is very disturbing to me. @SecRollins Americans have right to know if the food being served to their kids is being tainted by disgusting Islamic animal abuse. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins @SecRollins: Why is the USDA putting meat from animals tortured through Islamic ritual slaughter into American kids’ school lunches? This is not what I voted for. This should be shut down immediately. @USDAnutrition @USDA_AMS @USDAFoodSafety @KenPaxtonTX Read the full story here: dallasexpress.com/education/…

Good Saturday 𝕏 Johnny Carson was in a league of his own, and the fact that people are comparing him to Jimmy Kimmel is almost insulting to Carson's legacy. Fans are now weighing in, calling Carson far superior to Kimmel, praising his intelligence, comedic talent, and ability to entertain Americans regardless of their political beliefs. Even Kimmel himself once compared Carson to Abraham Lincoln and admitted he could never measure up to him. Well, at least Kimmel got something right. Carson knew how to make America laugh. He didn't need to turn every monologue into a political sermon or insult half the country to get applause. In my opinion, Kimmel is a smug, self-righteous political mouthpiece who has confused lecturing people with entertaining them. Carson was a national treasure. Kimmel is a national embarrassment. Does anyone seriously believe these two men belong in the same conversation?🤡

The Tonight Show made its national television debut 72 years ago today, September 27, 1954. Steve Allen was the first host, followed by Jack Paar, but Johnny Carson took that chair in 1962 and stayed there for 30 years. Carson really set the standard for what late-night television became. The opening monologue, sitting behind that desk talking with celebrities, giving young comedians their big break and somehow making millions of people feel like they were just hanging out with Johnny before going to bed. Jay Leno took over in 1992 and had a great run of his own. Today Jimmy Fallon sits behind that famous Tonight Show desk. Different generations had different hosts, but they're all part of something that started 72 years ago tonight. Who was your favorite Tonight Show host?
