Awww yeah! Huge congratulations to everyone involved this year. Really cool to see how Sweden went from not participating to winning in a short time. My contributions this year were small but I am proud having contributed throughout the years to the build up towards this.
After an incredible week of challenges, teamwork and intense competition, we are proud to announce the ECSC 2026 champions: Team Sweden! 🇸🇪 🇪🇺 A special thank you to Schwarz Digits for supporting ECSC 2026 and for handing over the first prize to our champions! 🏆

Back on the dating apps since a few weeks back and I feel like this could be a much less painful experience if people afforded each other just a modicum of treating each other like actual living people.

I have recovered my old site including my poems that I wrote in my teens. I'm torn on what to do about this because on one hand, some of them are not completely terrible but on the other hand, the themes are exactly what you would expect from an awkward and edgy teenager. :D

Fresh hot PagedOut issue! As usual, I have written an article, this time about using some maths for obfuscation. This is the concept that was the basis for my Google CTF 2024 challenge, "Not Obfuscated". Check it out together with all the other great articles!
Paged Out! #9 is live! Read, share, enjoy! pagedout.institute/?page=iss… We are running final QA on all PO! issues that should be available on Lulu (lulu.com/spotlight/pagedout) in a few days! In case you want to support us, we have a Patreon now - patreon.com/PagedOut

Really happy to see this. My @REverseConf talk on reverse engineering Age of Empires inspired some research which led to an RCE vulnerability. Great work, Rick!
Replying to @rdjgr
Finally, two huge shout-outs for the RE work: • @ZetaTwo for the excellent RE//verse talk • The intern who released AoE2DE_s_original.exe without obfuscation ;) The bug was patched in April (update 174992); MSRC just took a while to assign the CVE.

We didn't really post here during the event but DEFCON CTF Quals just concluded and LiveCTF was part of it with a new concept. Check out our website livectf.com/ to find links to all the recap streams we did and witness the chaotic bird training action!

I'm optimistic we can create _some_ type of knowledge-based security-related community activity but traditional online jeopardy-style CTF as a competitive format is on its deathbed and this video hurts. Big love to the community that has meant the world to me the past 11 years!
"Dad, what was it like playing CTFs before AI?"

Really proud of this year's edition of @livectf! And it seems to actually generate some interesting problems to solve for the teams. Next stream is in 40 min. Check it out!
If you aren't playing DEFCON CTF quals this weekend (heck, even if you are) and you want to see what's going on, check out LiveCTF! youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

I'm once again looking for a friend willing to proof-read my latest article. Ideally someone with some reverse engineering and maths knowledge.

Really looking forward to share my work on #AgeofEmpires with you all and to visit the conference.
Carl Svensson (@zetatwo) is bringing Age of Empires II Definitive Edition to RE//verse 2026 as a playground for tooling. This talk walks through Binary Ninja automation to decrypt and deobfuscate game code and a BNIL query system for matching obfuscated instruction patterns. If you like game reversing you will want to see this talk: shop.binary.ninja/collection…

LOL. I got emailed by some site building "open source profiles" for hiring, scraping GitHub and adding some things on top. You can opt out in your profile and they'll delete your page. The catch? There's no auth at all. Anyone can go and delete me here: algora.io/profile/ZetaTwo

Any friends with solid low-level skills (RE, obfuscation, etc.) around to provide feedback on my new @pagedout_zine article?

A few articles from the @pagedout_zine #7 that I found interesting: * Disassembling with LLVM: using LLVM API for disassembling. * Obfuscating Crypto Constants: generating crypto constants in runtime. * Turning a GCC anti-debug trick into a LCE Easy and quick to read :D

Seems like there's been a slightly generous interpretation of the numbers but regardless it's really cool to see how well represented Sweden is in gaming.
Games made in Sweden stood for 20% of the revenue on Steam in 2025. Pretty impressive considering Sweden’s size of 10 million inhabitants. Source: @alineaanalytics
