'Suddnely'? Sinawo, you went to UCT. There is big library there, so I know studied your fair share of Humanities. There is no way you think gun violence in CT is sudden. I know elections are coming up and you gotta campaign. But at least try and maintain a level of self-respect.
Why is there suddenly running gun wars and taxi violence in the townships of the City of Cape Town, a week before elections, when the DA is expected to drop below 50% and lose its majority?
Who stands to benefit from a volatile situation in the Cape Flats, a Cape Flats which is disillusioned with the DA, 5-days before elections?
It is incredibly uncomfortable timing, violence like this will undoubtedly affect voter turnout in these areas. Why now?

I’ve been seeing conversations about Izingane Zes’thembu, particularly the speculation that Lwandle maybe neurodivergent or on the autism spectrum.
My issue isn’t necessarily with people noticing that someone may process things differently. It’s the stigma and ridicule that follow. Suddenly, he’s labelled dumb, slow, incapable of reasoning or unable to understand what’s happening around him.
Firstly, none of us knows whether he’s neurodivergent. He has not shared a diagnosis on tv. Secondly, even if he is, since when is neurodivergence synonymous with stupidity?
You can question someone’s decisions without attacking their cognitive abilities or turning perceived differences into a public spectacle. Neurodivergence is not an intellectual failing, and it’s certainly not entertainment for public ridicule. #IzinganeZesthembu

But either way, you have to be careful that your mother doesn’t become the invisible audience for every decision you make. You shouldn’t have to spend your life either chasing her shadow or running from it. She can be your mother without being the center of your identity. Your life doesn’t have to revolve around living up to her or living away from her. It can just be… yours.
