I want to clarify something about my earlier post. When I tweeted, “I look like Yoruba kee? Does my skin look bleached, or are my hands giving two different shades?”, it was simply playful banter. I wasn’t trying to undermine Yoruba women, insult anyone or start a tribal war. Nevertheless, I apologise to anyone who felt offended or interpreted it as an attempt to instigate tribal conflict. That was never my intention. I believe we can both make fun of each other, laugh about our differences and engage in harmless tribal banter without turning it into an opportunity to instigate hatred. We should be able to laugh with one another without making everything a tribal rivalry. There was no hatred behind my post, and I hope we can understand the difference between harmless jokes and genuine tribal bigotry❤️
