Writing tip of the day!
What's the difference between E.g. and I.e.?
E.g. stands for "exempli gratia" in Latin, meaning "for example."
I.e. stands for "id est," meaning "in other words."
Here's a trick to remember when to use them:
E.g. = example given
I.g. = in essence

Our medieval wooden pole lathe is significantly advanced. Well done to our MSc student @HamishDarrah ! We have 1000s of lathe-turned objects of wood, jet, bone and antler in archaeology, but very few parts of lathes survive. This will be interesting..

The #BayeuxTapestry is online, do go and explore this medieval treasure! We went to Normandy in 2019 and saw this. It's a fantastic museum and a must-see. All the glorious scenes and details, quite breathtaking! #medievaltwitter

Sometimes, #medieval lives read like a juicy version of Hello. Like this story about an earl, the woman he wed and the woman he loved.

It's strange to think that was 7 years ago. Four months after the fall of Fontan, 30 months before the Wedding of Garas and Catherine, the death of Dunnera was the last war between Caligus and the North. wiki.battlemaster.org/wiki/D… and wiki.battlemaster.org/wiki/D…
