I may have missed Christmas but these are more for the new year anyway! After my mess-ups, print problems and postal strikes, they're here! etsy.com/uk/shop/BodyConfide…

See the thread for more!
Is anyone from here on @bluesky - there isn't much #bodyconfidence presence and it seems like a great space for it.

Imagine if there was a space in your local community where a young person could go, without a referral, and talk to a professional about what they are going through. That’s what we’re calling on the Government for. #FundTheHubs

Just a little reminder:
You can hate your body and still take care of it.
You can feel distressed by it and still not harm it.
You can want to be smaller but still engage in recovery focused behaviours.
The way you feel about your body does not have to dictate how you treat it.

Weekends can be difficult for those of us struggling with loneliness. If this is you, be a friend to yourself this weekend. Spend time doing the things you enjoy. Be gentle with yourself.
You are worthy of love and care.
It's a serious crisis - the system is broken and struggling to cope. Kids have and will die if this isn't addressed... fast. The impact on the young, their families and ultimately society (#crime, #employment) and other societal resources (#NHS #police) is also an issue. *sigh*
Politicians should be aware of the current state of young people's mental health and how inaction is impacting their lives. We shouldn’t have to drive around Westminster in a van to remind them. #EndTheWait
Please pass this on...

Dealing with loneliness can be difficult. But there are things we can all do to help cope with loneliness and prevent some of the negative feelings and #MentalHealth problems that can come with it.💚

I'm really excited at the prospect of working with @DrAmyKHarrison and @DrKeriWong again.
Dealing with home and day-job stuff has kept me away from this aspect of myself for a bit, publicly at least.

Word of the day is ‘mumpsimuses’ (16th century): those who insist they are right and apportion blame to others without looking at themselves.
My latest newsletter with a little reference to Valentines - there's more than the romantic leanings of hearts, flowers and teddies when it comes to love I say!

My recent feature in @TIME was well timed, underscoring the findings in our Public Health article on the racial unreliability of BMI:
