The saga started in September 2022, after the therapist ("Defendant" in this filed petition for disciplinary action) had been providing services to "Client A" for nearly a year. A cat ("Eve") was gifted to the client's daughter.

Update for the 2 of you who might still be on this platform: Therapist in this case finally had her disciplinary hearing last week. Ended up with a 4-month suspension, a $4000 fine and a required course in ethics and boundaries. No news on the cat.

Been at @ChildrensNE a few days with my kid. Shout out to the nurse I overheard checking this morning to see if all her colleagues have voted or have a plan to in case she needed to stay late and help cover their patients.

Friend showed up to Bible study this morning in costume. Said, "I'm a lumberjack!" I instinctively responded with "And you're OK!" Got blank looks from everyone. Apparently I am the only one in that friend group who was blessed with a solid grounding in the classics.

Happy "corn night," Omaha:
Back in the day, Halloween in Omaha was a multi-day event. Corn night, then rice night, then cabbage night, then Halloween. 10/31/1901:

I've been in rooms at @ChildrensNE dozens and dozens of times but today is the first day I've noticed they didn't even bother to pay for the stock photo on their exam room poster.

Just saw that there's plans for a new gas station on the SE corner of 72nd and Dodge, in the old Fuddruckers building. Will be interesting to see how more in/out traffic will affect a corner that already features one of the most annoying parking lots in all of Omaha.

Ungenerous of me, but also chortled to myself when I looked at their plan and saw multiple mentions of the "SHURBS" they will plant.
