You live a good life if you never, ever, have to "hop on a call".

Apple needs someone back at the top who can say: "What the hell is this? It looks like shit. The text wraps poorly in the sidebar, the screen is anemic and poorly explained, and this is just a button? We can't fucking ship this. It looks desperate and like we have no taste."
hey, you know what? shut up

Three questions determine 99% of the happiness in your life: 1. What am I working on and why?  2. Who am I spending time with and why? 3. How well am I treating my body and why?  Everything else is noise.

I want to get in a time machine to go back to 1998 and try to convince people that in 2024 a near-60 year old Mike Tyson will be fighting a kid from Disney Channel over the world wide web via the company that rents DVDs via mail, broadcast by Rosie Perez.

Your ancestors survived centuries of floods, wars, famine, slavery, and plagues for you to sit on the toilet and compare your life to people on the internet who you’ve never met. Be grateful.

Life is a gym, everyone else is either too focused on their own workout to be watching you, or they're not even there to notice

It is called The Spotlight Effect, and it’s a cognitive bias that makes us assume people are paying far more attention to us than they actually are.

Social media fucks up our expectations because it convinces us that we should be doing everything, everywhere, all at once. Reality is that we should focus on doing one or two things extremely well, in one place, consistently over a long period of time.

You could do absolutely nothing today and still have four more days to do absolutely nothing before the weekend. You just have to get your mind right to achieve your dreams. #MondayMotivation

Most people will fail to actually make money in a bull market, especially in crypto. There are two main reasons. 1) Greed This is obvious. People will fail to sell their memecoins and garbage assets that have pumped because they think they can squeeze more gains or they wrongfully assume price will never go down. New paradigm, super cycle etc. Humans will human and fail to take profit. 2) Religious fervor This market is unique in that there is a religious belief that you can never sell anything. Ever. It’s easy for a billionaire to fire off a tweet about a store of value from the comfort of their yacht. The guilt associated with ever selling is something I have not seen in other markets. People will starve rather than disappoint the “community” by daring to sell. Don’t let this be you.

Did you know, a recent study reported that on average, 30 minutes of daily exercise can help depressed people just as much as prescribed medication can? 🤯 And it doesn't even have to be strenuous exercise, you can just go outside and walk around the block for 30 minutes and save yourself on having to deal with insurance companies and pharmacists and all that BS. While health and fitness might get overrated in terms of people trying to optimize for things like six-packs, it’s vastly underrated for its contribution to basic human happiness and well-being. We’ve somehow been led to believe that happiness requires us to bench-press 200lb or eat air fried chia seeds for breakfast. Maybe because every time we scroll through social media we're bombarded with images of fancy avocado toast, perfect bodies, and dream vacations. But in reality, happiness is much simpler than any of that. You don't have to master 25 different techniques and apply 400 micro strategies to find happiness, just get on top of a few important areas of your life and the knock-on effects will astound you. I recorded a podcast where we delve into the few key determining factors of happiness. Some of what we cover: ✴️Which people should be in your life? And why is it that improving yourself seems to weed out toxic relationships? ✴️Why a statistically significant number of people around the world don't have a single person they feel comfortable sharing their deepest personal secrets with. ✴️Plus, who says you need to make money doing what you love? ✴️Drew’s secret passion for woodworking ✴️And much more… This episode is a fun one. It will hopefully have you 99% happier by the end of it. And if you leave me a review, I’ll be a whole lot happier too. Link to episode below 👇
