Find A Reason To Smile Help When You Can Be Grateful Don’t Be A Dick In this case, I’ll add “Honesty, Above All, Whenever Safely Possible,” because this is one of those times I’ve not been honest with myself, with any of my content collaborators, or anyone, really I truthfully have no desire to be on camera anymore in any capacity, whether hosting or as part of a panel I’ve “worked myself up” when I knew go-time was near, and, without trying to sound too cocky, I feel I’ve still delivered when asked to in the last … gawd, I can’t even remember the last time I felt like I didn’t have to slap on a false face With Halloween now in the rear view, and the reality of my employment and living situation now fully thrust into my path, I’ve had a bit to think about what is in store for me in a week, a month, a year, etc., and for the first time … really since 2017 when I thought I’d be done for good (before another panelists questionable actions brought me back), I don’t see content creation in any capacity as part of that future Even during what is usually a fun occasion, joining the Halloween karaoke on Saturday felt more like a chore than an event, and I only got through that as happy as I appeared with some libational assistance, something I’ve not really felt necessary to add in over 15 years Hell, today, I’ve messaged the group of people that still seem to want to hold me in higher regard than I deserve that I can’t be part of the watch alongs, when I’m literally sitting right here in the same spot I’ve been for most of the past week, dressed as though going out, and with the physical appearance of a person who’s ready for whatever, but I’m just … not wanting to do it. I’m not even sure if I’ll watch the shows with the regular commentary tonight. I’m realizing as I type this out that the apathy toward everything started long before I was once again dismissed from my “woosah place” as a Cast Member two weeks ago, but, again, I can’t pinpoint the exact date in my head. All I know is, at this moment, I truly don’t care what happens on either NXT or Dynamite tonight, or on SmackDown on Friday, or over in the Middle East this weekend, other than the hope that everyone arrives and departs from that miserable part of the world safe and sound. Give me a classic show to watch, or holiday music or movies to dive into, and I’m here for it. Current events / stories / etc., in any facet of sports or entertainment? I’ll pass, at least for now.
