NEW: Indiana's Curt Cignetti on the College Football Playoff rankings: "SEC gets a lot of love from ESPN, you know, and all their writers that they don’t technically pay, but march to their drum. So, and that’s why you see all these SEC teams up there, you know, and some good two-loss teams from the Big Ten, not quite as high. But like I said, it’s all going to be played out on the field." DeMarcus Henry, a 6'7" five-star small forward and one of the top players in the 2027 class, cut his list to four on Monday: Arkansas, Louisville, Kentucky, and North Carolina. He announces his decision this Friday. WHERE THINGS STAND: North Carolina: UNC has the momentum right now. They got his last official visit over the weekend, and multiple sources think the Heels are in a strong spot. Henry is from Charlotte, and Michael Jordan personally called him, which sources say is unusual for MJ. UNC has reportedly set aside top-of-the-market NIL money, and Jordan Brand is involved too. Kentucky and Louisville: Both are expected to match UNC on the NIL side, and both staffs planned to visit Henry this week. Arkansas: They might make an in-home visit this week too, but they’re the least talked-about of the four. UNC looks like the favorite, but nothing’s locked in, and the other three are still pushing hard ahead of Friday.
