It’s people working concessions and the door at these arenas today who make slightly above minimum wage who legit could complain about not having the holiday off to at least relax and be with their family. Multi-millionaire generational wealthy athletes complaining is tone deaf

Kon Knueppel on playing off two feet:
“It evens out the athleticism…I’m not super athletic, so being able to play off two feet..now they have to be ready for a shot fake or a pivot. It kind of evens the playing field.”

19 year old 6’9 Wing Hamad Mousa has looked like a legitimate NBA prospect for Cal Poly this season.
Through his first nine games Mousa is averaging 19/6/2 while shooting 46% from three on 6 attempts a game.
Mousa’s ability to shoot for his size and age is extremely valuable and hard to find. Mousa has the ability to create his own look off the dribble and is also one of the best spot up shooting wings in the country with his ability to get to his spots and shoot over anyone. Mousa is also skilled at the rim and has strong touch. Mousa’s ability to play in pace has helped him be one of the top PNR players in cbb this season at 6’9 starting the season in the 98th percentile.
There’s not many 19 year old’s with Mousa’s mix of shooting, size, touch, and craft.

Coaches
Put a camera on your Full Bench during games.
You’ll learn more than you could imagine about the personality and connectivity of your Team. You’ll learn about your staff, players and support staff.
Not for segments but for the whole game.
You’ll be better for it.

Michael Jordan:
"Now it's like a prerequisite: Everybody has to have a logo...I'm part of the reason why everybody tries to get a logo and brand but the thing is that brand established based on what I did on the basketball court. I didn't put the brand before I put the work. I put the work first and then the brand evolved based on the work.
Generationally, I like to think that most of the time people will remember Michael Jordan based on what he did on the basketball court and not always the commercials that he did"

"But I think in life, if this is your sole purpose, you are a sad human being. When you leave here, you have to have other interests. You have to have a real life. And I think it makes you better when you come back here because you're refreshed. I think thats part of the human experience."
"He's someone to look up to. To be this successful, this good for this long, historically good, and have that outlook on life in general is something that says a lot about him. And it's a good example for all of us."

Kelvin Sampson said he didn’t pay much attention to the fact that the team signed the no. 1 center in back-to-back years. (Chris Cenac ’25, Arafan Diane ’26)
“They chose here, we don’t recruit a lot of guys. Most people don’t know about our recruiting and that’s the way I prefer it. We kinda work behind the scenes… Recruiting never stops with us, but you know the winningest program in America the last eight years is Houston. It’s because of our recruiting — we have good players. Coaches win a lot of games because they have good players, we have good players and will continue to get good players.”

Hot take: I’m a big fan of the 6 7 trend. It allows every kid to be a part of the “in group” and that’s a very rare phenomenon. I actually think it’s perfect that it has no meaning so it’s not offensive to anyone. A meaningless joke that makes kids happy. What’s wrong with that?
