📢 Important update for Android users on the Keet APK
The new Keet build on our GitHub channel, and Keet APK room comes with a new app ID and extra features, including APK sharing.
Because of the new app ID, Android treats it as a brand new app rather than an update to your existing install. That means your identity won't carry over automatically, and you'll need to migrate it yourself.
How to migrate:
1. Install the new version from the GitHub channel
2. Open it and link it to your existing account via the "Link device" process
3. Wait until all your data has fully synced
4. Only then, uninstall the old app
TL;DR: if you've been installing Keet from the APK, you'll need to reinstall.
⚠️ Please don't keep both versions installed long-term. Having both can cause unexpected behavior with deep links (Android may not know which app should open a link) and uses more battery. Before removing the old version please make sure you have backed up your seed phrase
