As a 21 y/o who was home-educated by my parents until I was 15, this is not the first harmful schools' bill that I've spoken against.
I have many long and complicated things to say about it, which are being put in a letter to my MP, but this is a thread of my brief thoughts:
So yesterday I received this forwarded message outlining some very concerning parts of the government's new #SchoolsBill, smuggled in in the recent Queen's Speech.
This bill seems to be an OUTRAGEOUS infringement on the rights of parents who want to home educate.

How can this be the first I’ve heard of this? Read and consider signing petition at the end.
Children do not belong to the Department for Education 😳

This was a fun little talk I did for the Atlassian Team '22 conference, which was well-received.

Fun new animation just out from @SpeakLifeUK...
— Everyone's a believer.
— No-one needs to take 'a leap of faith.'
— History has already taken an almighty leap.
— Really what we need is some ground beneath our feet.

Wow! Just tried out new Screen Sharing with @remarkablepaper tablet. Their previous attempt at this was terrible, but this version is amazing!
Very low latency, and it even shows a red pointer when you hold the marker hovering close-but-not-touching to the screen. 😍
Of all the supermarket deliveries I've used, @Ocado is the WORST at substitutions. They just don't bother most of the time, even when there must have been alternatives, they just give you nothing. Or swap for something half the size and charge you more.
.@fastic if you're going to do provocative notifications, at least get the grammar right 🤦
They say we all have a skeleton in the closet. My wife just told me about hers. It was given to her at med school by a doctor friend who no longer needed it. She found it creepy so wanted it hidden, and the wardrobe was the most convenient place.
Great thread. I can totally relate - it makes so much difference to see the people you're talking to. And love the way approach - no policy, just explain the consequences.
Jesus cried and made stinky nappies, and it's very good that he did.
Jesus is not going to take people away to live in heaven forever. That's actually really good news.
A short video. Happy Christmas - it's an event worth celebrating!
What if Away in a Manager was actually TRUE?! 😱

Question to any Christians who take a futurist/premillennial view of the end times - what happens to people who are in space? (on ISS/Moon/Mars/etc)
Would they escape 'Tribulation' events like earthquakes and the Sun darkening?
In what direction would those be 'raptured'?
I tried this button, hoping for a mince pie.
Nothing yet.
