Do the work yourself then lol oh wait u don’t know how to? You’re not paying for the amount of hours it takes, you’re paying for the skill and knowledge of knowing how to do the job. If you don’t want to pay for it, then you go work construction or go to school for the trade (:
I genuinely don’t understand why contractors keep exploiting homeowners who need basic utility repairs.
I was quoted $1,800 to replace a standard 40-gallon residential hot water heater.
Actual unit costs $550 at Lowe's.
The copper fittings and pipe sealant take about $40 in raw materials.
Job takes two hours of labor for a standard swap.
You are charging $1,210 in labor for 120 minutes of work.
That's an hourly rate of over $600. For what exactly?!

Trapping weed is just DoorDash with extra steps 😂
I keep seeing those plug China man videos on social media and its just like bro...Firstly why are you proud of buying weed from illegal grows with banned pesticides and selling that to your community??
2nd it pisses me off cause the hemp industry and ppl trying to do good business get blamed for the China man pesticide packs, when there are DOZENS of legally complaint thca hemp growers who can compete EVEN BETTER on inventory rates with CLEAN product.
3rd, you're literally just opening yourself up to unnecessary risk. I know people in Chicago who got locked up for trapping weed but meanwhile every smoke shop on the corner selling it as thca hemp with 99% less risk of arrest.
So clearly you could have converted your trapping business into a legally compliant thca hemp delivery service, but nah. You want the street cred! Haha.
Am I the only person to ever have this thought? Let me know if im right or wrong here.
