Why the radio silence? My original account NTGates was hacked, and I have been unable to recover it since. @Support have not replied to a single one of my messages. I can be found on LinkedIn, Instagram and out in the wilds somewhere!

Finally a glimmer of hope: Michael Gove has invited me for a 2nd meeting: Heโs opened the door. Please continue to write, asking him to mandate #swift bricks ๐ชถ๐งฑThank you โฆ@ZacGoldsmithโฉ for remaining committed to saving swiftsโฅ๏ธWe can do this but we must carry on asking.

The crematorium application is coming back to committee B for a decision November 29 at 6pm. Coincidence that the hedge was just cut?๐คWe need all hands on deck for this one. If we lose we can say goodbye to all of our SNCIs.* We can & will win this but we need everyone on it

One of my councillor colleagues asked me about my white poppy today so I thought Iโd share what the white poppy is and why I wear one.

I'm committed to using local produce, grown in Scotland. But the intolerance towards wildlife, demonstrated in articles like this, is pushing that commitment to the limit. @NFUS suggesting 'zero beavers in any productive land?' Really?

Great to meet up with powerhouse โฆ@_NTGatesโฉ author, conservationist + producer of #WildIsles. Did you know Wild Isles was the 3rd most watched program last year? (After Strictly+ the Coronation). 12million Brits watched it. Wonder if Michael Gove knows that. Will tell him

What a fabulous evening we had at the Farming 2050 event last Thursday ๐ฑ!
To begin there was a screening of Save Our Wild Isles: Hungry for Change. Nick Gates and Benedict Macdonald followed this by discussing their vision for the future of farming โFarming 2050โ.

Iโm fully aware conditions been difficult over the past few days
I see lots of examples of farming not being so great for the environment
Can we see images of farming that is capable of coping with extreme weather conditions rather than soil washing down the roads

These coir logs break up the flow of rainfall over the bog, slowing its drainage into rivers below and helping to mitigate flooding downstream. Although they stand out when first placed, they'll gradually weather into the landscape #PeatlandsMatter #GreatNorthBog
