It’s not. It’s basic common courtesy to bring a dish/sides, pack of sodas, few cakes when someone is hosting… if they decline at bare minimum bring a bottle of wine.

Law Roach is right. Do not apologize to not a soul for the life you worked hard to build. People only see your rise, they either don’t know or ignore your struggle that brought you there. They may not know, but you do. Live and enjoy the life you built. Their hate is on them.
