Can't believe I'm about to hit 10k followers on TikTok.
Back in March I set out to make a TikTok and literally just yap about my love for Riftbound, with a goal of hitting 10k by March 2027.
I want to take a minute because I'm proud of the milestone and everything I’m accomplishing right now. Because I’m working my ass off.
I run my own business. I’m a husband, and a dad to two, one of them 5 months old. And somehow I've managed to make something every single day since I started.
Then things picked up. I started taking IG seriously in July and it's at 8k now. Twitter's at 4k. YouTube's at 1.6k, and that's where I'm excited to put more time next, on top of everything else.
None of this happens without you lot. Thank you anyone who's watched, commented, shared, sent me a question, or asked me how to play. This community made it feel worth doing every day. Thank you.
The Riftbound community is truly unmatched. The greatest of all time.

Overlay and companion used, with rift vision involved as well. Was able to get all this done with an iPad, record with an iPhone, and such easy set up.

Potentially hot take incoming but idc.
I sincerely believe that if Riot had gone forward with the original plan of their platform fighter (Pool Party) and gone a Melele-esque route that game would be all over everyone’s timelines even today.
FGC saturation is a real thing, and there’s legit maybe only 4 relevant Platform Fighters played by a large number of people, dominated of course by Smash.
Famously, Riot saw what happened to MultiVersus and they got spooked. I want to remind everyone that MVS at one point had over 150,000 concurrent players on Steam, which is absolutely mind boggling to think about for a platform fighter.
But the failure of MVS was due to strange dev decisions - such as their decision to keep the game extremely floaty and slow after a 2 year hiatus - I don’t think this is a mistake Riot would have made, especially after seeing the good polish that 2XKO has.
I truly hope they give Pool Party one last good attempt because it really could have been the one.
With a heavy heart, the @Play2XKO team shares an update about the future.
- Active development will end in December.
- The final content patch goes live in October.

I made a free stream overlay for Riftbound
Setting up a Riftbound stream from scratch means spending an afternoon in OBS moving text boxes around, so I'd rather see more locals and community events streamed than everyone having to rebuild the same thing.
The setup is simple:
→ One Browser Source in OBS
→ One control panel on a second screen, laptop or phone
→ Copy your private overlay link
→ Add it to OBS at 1920×1080
→ You're ready to go
The dashboard lets you control:
• Player names
• Legends & Chosen Champions
• Battlefields
• Points & games won
• Match format / points to win
• Round name
• Match timer
• Transparent webcam frames for both players
• VDO Ninja cameras
• Static backgrounds if you don't have cameras
• Tournament name & logo
• Player side swapping
You can also paste both players' decklists directly into the dashboard.
From there, click any card to display it on stream, run an automatic slideshow, show one player's cards at a time, or display both.
Everything updates live without restarting OBS, and the dashboard also works from a phone next to the playmat.
