Jon Rahm on the huge money on offer at the Tour Champ:
“It’s one of the things that frustrates me about watching this broadcast. We’re not thinking if we miss a putt how much it can cost us money wise. No chance. Like, none whatsoever. You’re trying to finish as high as possible, you’re trying to win a tournament. It’s one of my pet peeves when they try to make this tournament all about money because I think it takes away from it. When you win a green jacket, any major champion this year might not remember how much money they made. And that’s the beauty of this game and I think that’s kind of how it should be.”
You can tell he means that too. Jon is one of the most refreshing guys in golf right now 🙌🇪🇸

Incredible video. Afghan dad jokingly says school is only for boys. Watch his remarkable daughter - who can’t be more than 5 or 6 years old - respond with these arguments.
Afghan girls have been denied access to schools and universities. This little girl's courage represents the collective voice of countless Afghan girls who yearn for equal educational opportunities.
As an advocate for girls' education the father's teasing is simply to highlight an important message: that the Taliban - another backward regime - are harming the people of his country.
It’s time the world is done with them.
Ditto the “Islamic” Republic in Iran #regime

Michael Collins, an enigmatic figure, holds an esteemed position as a symbol of patriotism within Ireland, yet his recognition remains limited beyond its borders. Once branded as the most sought-after individual throughout the British Empire, he dedicated himself to the liberation of the Irish people. Allow me to shed light on the life of this Irish revolutionary leader.
Dubbed "The Big Fella" in his homeland, Collins was born in County Cork, Ireland. His upbringing immersed him in a milieu of fervent Irish nationalist sentiments and ideologies. While initially intending to pursue a clerical career in London, he gravitated towards Irish Nationalist groups, including the GAA and the Gaelic League. Collins eventually became associated with the Irish Republican Brotherhood, which played a pivotal role in the final Irish uprising of 1916. Following an eight-month imprisonment for his involvement in rebel activities, Collins emerged as a guiding force, leading Irish men and women in their fight for self-determination.
Under Collins' leadership, the Irish Republican Army (distinct from the modern-day IRA) engaged in a guerrilla warfare campaign from 1919 to 1921, compelling the British authorities to seek a ceasefire. With a £10,000 reward placed on his capture, Collins maintained an air of secrecy, evading the clutches of the British Empire. His elusive nature was compounded by the scarcity of photographic evidence, as only one blurry image of him existed. Displaying audacity, Collins would brazenly pass British police officers in Dublin, his bicycle serving as a means of mockery, while they remained oblivious to his true identity.
Moreover, Collins established the G Squad, a covert unit responsible for eliminating key British detectives involved in his pursuit. Subsequently, he signed a treaty that led to the formation of Northern Ireland and the Irish Free State, although it failed to secure complete independence for the entire island. Regarded by Collins as a strategic stepping stone, the treaty weighed heavily on his conscience, and he famously declared, "I have signed my death warrant." Tragically, the signing of the treaty triggered a bloody civil war in Ireland, culminating in Collins' demise during an ambush in Béal na Bláth at the age of 31.
Collins continues to be revered as a romanticized figure, capturing the imagination of admirers worldwide. Women from all corners of the globe pay tribute to his memory by placing flowers at his resting place in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin.
