As promised, we were at Ologuneru this afternoon to meet with residents affected by the development of the 110 km Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road.
After listening to their concerns, I restated our administration’s decision to implement the minimum 150m on each side in densely populated or built-up areas along the corridor. This covers the road and setback following best practices for such projects. Meanwhile, the 500m corridor will be implemented in areas that are not built-up.
I also directed that the Oyo State New Towns and Cities Development Authority will henceforth, be in charge of all issues regarding the Circular Road Development Corridor. They will liaise with stakeholders and the representatives of affected residents to address any additional complaints.
I also promised that we will ensure that adequate compensation is paid before any further demolitions take place and that the cases of residents who were inadequately compensated will be revisited.
Zero disappointment.
It’s his kind they made the issue complicated, a section of residents had been compensated since 2024 and the Governor in 2024 already said 75 meters in built up areas and 500 meters in other places.

Seyi Makinde is also touring the country, taking his Reset Nigeria agenda across different geopolitical zones and engaging Nigerians on his vision for the country.
Meanwhile, Oyo APC and other opposition supporters are more interested in jumping on posts about Seyi Makinde and Bimbo Adekanmbi, trying to discredit them, instead of putting their own candidates out there and telling us what they have to offer.
Rather than campaign for your candidates, you’re busy monitoring Seyi Makinde and Bimbo Adekanmbi’s activities.
When Seyi Makinde and Bimbo Adekanmbi eventually wins, don’t come online shouting and acting surprised.
You had the same opportunity to put in the work.
APC candidates are moving around Lagos, campaigning aggressively like they’re not even the ones in power, yet the opposition is nowhere to be heard. Instead of focusing on your own candidate and getting them to campaign seriously, you’re more concerned about what’s happening in another party. When APC candidates eventually win, don’t come online shouting and acting surprised. You had the same opportunity to put in the work.

I drove to Ajia–Odeyale this morning through Ife Expressway, and one thing struck me, the transformation of that axis is remarkable!
When Seyi Makinde constructed that road around 2020/21, there was plenty of criticism.
Fast forward to today, I almost missed my way! The road looks wider, buildings are springing up everywhere, and the entire area is almost unrecognisable.

One leader shows up, listens and pays. The other sends bulldozers and a lawyer.
2027 is near; we will separate boys from men. We are going to vote out this Tinubu administration and elect Seyi Makinde as the next President of this country.
