Today in Mexico, celebrations have begun for a very cherished occasion: the start of the "DΓa de Los muertos." Today is "DΓa de todos los santos," a day dedicated to children to those little angels who left us far too soon, to those precious, tiny beings who have passed away.
It might seem like a sad day, but in Mexico, we honor our departed loved ones with *ofrendas* (offerings of food, sweets, and things they enjoyed). We do so with a sense of nostalgia, yet also with the joy that comes from keeping their memory alive.
November 2nd is All Souls' Day (for adolescents, adults, and the elderly).
I share this so that people from other countries can learn a little more about my traditions.π₯°
